The issue is animation quality and MAL viewers rate highly high production and impressive animation even with stock standard story. |

so most of the people have bad taste? That's just an opinion, someone may like this and dislike this.
for me it's 5/10, just a mediocre anime, nothing special, the story had a potential, everything else was garbage. But it's nice to know that people like anime like these that much.
| @Sekuray I wouldn’t say “bad taste”, like food, there are some you like and some you don’t like, so I wouldn’t ever fault a person for this. But to be bluntly honest, most people today do not appreciate good anime stories, and even worse, is when some bad anime stories are touted to be good. In my experience people don’t judge anime fairly, with the “3 and done”, “surface level similarities complaint”, “it is not what I want”, “it should have been this way”, “it is not a grand million dollar academy award winning presentation with perfect graphics”, etc etc etc, everyone forces their own personal opinions on anime, they don’t fairly judge the anime based on what is presented by the creators. This anime had a good story, MC, characters, interactions, events, battles, comedy, art, animation, voice acting, sound, music. |

| @Myetx Hello my friend, I am glad we have similar taste in anime. Yeah, you are right, I will probably end up rating this at an 8 or 9 as well. It just really bugs me at how low the MAL Rating is for these anime, which does not represent how good they are. Not that I actually believe my single 10 score will change anything. 🤣 That is very interesting, their perspective seems the complete opposite of mine, because I would rate an anime with a good story, but bad art / animation, higher than an anime with perfect art / animation, but a bad story. That is like giving a high rating to food that is perfectly plated, but tastes terrible, while giving a low rating to food that tastes delicious, but was not perfectly plated, that to me is illogical. What do you think? |
