| Fun fact, considering circumstances Gift most likely will get death penalty. Or life imprisonment by insanity pleas, but I think it would be kinda too boring ending and Gift clearly isn't insane (from medical point of view). Also in retrospective it's funny how many readers were "hating" author... I think main reason for this was that since Gift is protagonist readers expected in the end he would be redeemed and got happy ending. Personally no matter what I expected I would never imagine this story would go this dark!! As for this chapter... I really hoped this was in Gift imagination or he missed but Gift was in the end "smart". he would never be able to go away with murder, decaying body smell pretty bad even if you cover it with concrete (I dunno if this was in my country but that's how police found dead bodies). Now only thing he can do is finnish the painting. |

| @ImNotAnOtaku1 I dunno about it, first it is high schooler (who had history of stealing and school suspension) killing another high schooler so that's already will be worth nationwide news (international to some extent), probably will be used "card" that Kadomi was young underage woman with bright future ahead of her and her having sick father. So average taxpayer definitely would be ok with that. Him burying body (hiding evidence), multiple stabbing and the fact that he started to paint after killing her showing complete lack of remorse will be important factors. And since Gift is +16 he will be judged as an adult. Maybe he will appeal his way out of it but personally I would prefer death penalty (for entertaining factor). And his painting/s would get really (in)famous. And this will be 3 volume series (Top, Middle, Bottom) so we are really close to the ending, so author doesn't have a lot of time to wrap everything up. |
