| Man!! finally closed my 2 year's chapters of not watching it. I liked it a lot. Since the end of the manga I knew who was going to be the winner and yes, it was Yotsuba. My favorite is Miku but I thought the winner would be Itsuki, especially with the 2nd season...and also with what happens with her in the movie! I feel that there should have been more moments with Yotsuba because with the others there were many moments in which they could have been the chosen ones, but well. Both Father's participations were great in this movie. The quintuplets game part was nice. The ending is very nice. Very good movie, the girls will be missed <3. but ooh yeah we've more to watch the Honeymoon Arc✨. Finished on 17th June 2024 at 16:44 Hrs IST.     |

| pretty great movie, was a bit surprised with who Futaro chose to marry, which was what I expected the least. Kinda bummed out that my theories and parallels regarding Itsuki from Season 2 are now invalidated, everything seemed to fit perfectly. I am satisfied with the ending though and it was a great watch, comedy was great, and the festival was nice. |
| It's an okay conclusion to the series, pending the anime-original honeymoon arc. There's at least 3 points working against this movie: 1. It's too much drama for my taste, whereas the two seasons and the special episodes are mindless fun and guilty pleasures. 2. The drama with their biological dad, whilst it is supposed to let us know what happened to him, was botched. It'e unnecessary for the movie. 3. Inconsistent characterisation of Yotsuba. She was a bumbling idiot for much of the series. One might dislike her for that, but Yotsuba's characterisation before Fuutarou started tutoring them felt unbelievable. She wanted to be so unlike her other sisters and leaves a bad taste in your mouth if you like Yotsuba due to her being a klutz. It's an attempt to make her a complex character but failed big time. Even Nino's characterisation felt natural. |
| Loved the movie a lot. It was Bittersweet without any Sugarcoat, true to what it should be. Wholesome, charming, awkwardly cherishable moments are a reason to like the show. But the way it develops to be So real, so Close replica of a real life outcome of a love triangle. It's bittersweet and we knew that from the very beginning. This show has so many things to offer, it values life. 10/10. A beautiful End to a Beautiful Story. |

| I was actually thinking it would be either Itsuki or Yotsuba because they both seemed the least obvious. And in hindsight, it was always going to be either the first lead the MC meets, or the childhood one. I feel so bad for the others who were sitting in their respective rooms hoping he would pick them. Then he picks Yotsuba who would not have even turned up if she didn't forget her phone. Doing that move in separating them made it so much worse than if he gathered all of them together and then simply said who he picked. I really wanted it to be Miku (or Nino, though I always thought she was fairly unlikely). My issue with Yotsuba is that it didn't feel like there was really much going on between them for it to build up to this moment. Miku and Ichika had many more intimate scenes (e.g. the igloo and festival) and their feelings and chemistry with Futaro was present throughout the anime. With Yotsuba, when I look back at the anime, nothing stands out that makes me go "Oh so that's why he chose her". There was that one day out, but that seemed like it was crammed in to make Yotsuba look a bit less random when he eventually picks her. I also find it hard to believe Yotsuba was the one who ran up to Futaro at the bell because she never really outwardly expressed her affection of Futaro in that way. That seemed like something Miku or Nino would've 100% done. But regardless, Miku had her chance at Kyoto and completely blew it (which makes this ending sting even more). And I still feel happy for Yotsuba. She was with him not just when they met as kids, but she was the only one who appeared at the beginning of his first tutoring session. And I suppose in some ways when looking at it, she was always the background support of many things that happened - whether it was with her sisters or Futaro. Also, they've both got that bunny ears thing on their head. Itsuki was my least favourite beforehand, but she really grew on me in this movie. I think in subsequent rewatches, she'll be one I really like. As for the anime special, I don't really like that they're continuing further. I think the way it ended here is completely fine and I will hate if they do something like show the other sisters in relationships or have something stupid come up that would "ruin" the anime *cough* Violet Evergarden *cough*. On a final note, I thought the animation style of the first season was so much better, despite the occasional wonky eyes. While the four of them looked fine in S2/movie, Miku suddenly looked way too young to me. It felt like you had the four identical sisters, but then suddenly Miku as a separate little sister. The animation style in the first season made them all look equal. |

| A great ending to the series. I've already read the manga before hand, so I knew the outcome, I'm catching up on the anime to watch the honeymoon specials that are now more widely available. Yotsuba grabbed my attention off the bat with her energy, genki girls are a pretty high tier pick for me. Nino was good once she dropped the super cold attitude and Miku definitely had the best facial expressions of the group, particularly her pouts. |
