Seems like the Kadomi flashback is over. The logical course of action would be for the class to call her out and for Gift to set things right with his friend, but this manga has been the definition of pointing the middle finger at doing things that make sense so we’ll see how things go from here.
| @jekfrumstotferm I will just point out that in this series only Gift and Kadomi were acting unhinged, and Kadomi did it because she was "traumatized" as a kid while Gift have borderline "narcissism complex" and cowardly nature. Shop owner: Kid returned stolen paint so everything is fine. Gift's mom: I understand that I put unhealthy pressure on you because of our financial status. School: Gift did something illegal and he will be punished for it. Gift's friends: (as for now) We support our friend. Students: Are you crazy? Also to clarify, Gift's friend can get angry at him in "next" chapter because Gift was lying to him for quite some time. Even if taking those paints wouldn't be a big deal for him, lying would be a completely different thing. |
