This short 1980s space film had a confusing story for me. The colors for a space anime were very dark and muted compared to others I have seen from this time period. The actual plot was kinda uneventful for me overall. There was no point in having the time jump and the strange bird creatures always looked like they were imaginary or apart of their mind,... didnt get it at all. I like that all the female characters were so deadly! Like WATCH OUT! I also liked the drawing, it felt patient and purposeful. The colors were totally RETRO! Liz was one of my fav characters. ✤ Fav Moments/Eps: Ep #9 - the Fashion Show, & Ep #13 - when you find out that someone has been helping you out the whole time. Suspicious! The first half was slow and sweet, and the last half was visually intriguing and intense. The ending was MUCH BETTER than I thought it was going to be, and I definitely cried .... happy tears! ✤ Fav Moments/Eps: The Secondhand book fair, the Kyoto staircase, & Cinnamon twist bread. The story does start very abruptly and therefore is quite confusing, but overall there is something here. Love how Misakino, Kukuru navigates growing up and Gama Gama's responsibilities! ✤ Fav Moments/Eps: when Kukuru turns in biology notes for her math assignments & all the fish aquarium scenes, Ep#6 - shaved ice, Ep#13 - first day at Tingarla, & Ep #24 - ending is just the beginning "when a person peers into the ocean within, strangely, they find peace" (S5) Watch an anime featuring a Voice Actor who is also credited with a Theme/Insert Song Performance in the anime BLEND-S [Voice Actor/Actress: Azumi Waki, Akari Kito, Anzu Haruno] ✤ Story: ____________ ✤ Fav Moments/Eps: ____________  (S6) Watch an anime featuring an Opening Theme (OP) or Ending Theme (ED) with a Spotify link on its MAL page (found by clicking the song title) Bartender [Song Title: "Bartender" by Natural High] ✤ Story: "Every drink has a story, and every story has a drink to accompany it." This is so much history around each cocktail & I loved learning all of it. I did like the sort or anthology of it all, but I did not like how patronizing episodes 5-6 were. ✤ Fav Moments/Eps: Tequila is my fav so the Margarita Episode was great! |
