Toudou trying to improve as a pitcher is inspirational. He has one of the most important role on the field and tries his best despite not being the best pitcher we've seen in the show.

I think this episode did a solid at protraying character roles realistically from a baseball game perspective. Toudou just seems like one of those guys who tries to be the best he can be.

Due to his yips, Aoi offers to change positions. Moved by Kei's similar experience, he practices throwing again, but still can't throw well.

At that moment, Haruka gives Aoi a stern talking-to.

Gotta love how things are broken down to their core elements. I don't think we get this close to them all that often, especially done with such great execution that it does feel natural, like we're right there. It really is a joy to watch; even the humour is subdued enough (despite being bonkers) that it doesn't suppress or backstab the serious tone.

And I don't even mean baseball only, either.

Really loved that the guys came together to help Aoi overcome his yips and improve, I have no doubt they will help him beat it.

Wow... an incredible episode. Both from the story's point of view and production-wise. Probably the best one so far. Contrail, MAPPA's subsidiary helped out on this episode. So, it doesn't make that much of a difference. But, it was amazing.

I loved how much effort Aoi's friends were putting into making Aoi forget about all of his failures. But, it's not that easy as everyone knows about it as well. But, they still are trying to help him which is what matters that. The EFFORTS. I love their friendship so much. Loved the last scene with Aoi's senior as well. He teared up and so did I. Amazing show, with amazing animation, and the music was top-notch as well. Couldn't have asked for anything more than what I've already got from this show so far.

Such a great episode. It was awesome all along but the last scene was the cherry on the top. I wasn't expecting and I got teary-eyed along side with Todo.

The episodes are better when Kei balances his serious side and his goofy side, haha.

Ahw man, that was another beautiful episode! I love Todo's character and it makes me so happy how everyone is trying their best to help him out, and the results are there!

Kei wheezing after a few runs had me dead lmao (props to Miyano)

Kei's amateurism and being a "yipster" surely broke the ice when Todo was feeling sorry himself and it actually encouraged and motivated him. Also, the idea of bouncing the ball to first base appears to be helping out.

That whole yips discussion had me laughing, I felt like his 2 sisters rolling on the ground after eavesdropping and hearing him called a "Yipster."

Did anyone else feel it when Aoi's senior said he was playing (as were some others on the team) and was happy Aoi was playing, hoping to see him at Koshien? Then the drops of water, wow. Ouch, I felt that.

Loving this anime, not sure why the score isn't higher, it's been awesome so far. Good animation, funny, etc.

Now my tummy ached from laughing at Kei's jokes hahaha! Waaah Mamoru Miyano is really the coolest seiyuu of all! ❤️️❤️️❤️️😭😭😭
What started as hilarious convos with the team turned out to be an emotional moment for Todo at the end. I was so happy that everyone contributed to overcome his yips: Kiyomine being the blunt one, Yamada being the most helpful one through his diligence, Kaname being the first to suggest the idea, and Chihaya taking pictures then switched to a baserunner for more awareness of the form (he's so awesome yaay). Finally, Todo meeting his former senpai and acknowledging his present teammates in the present made this episode so satisfying and complete. The preview also showed a new member so what could be perfect?
Could give this a rating of more than 5 if I could la la laaaaa~

I really enjoyed this episode. They continued on about Aoi and his yips. He still thought he didn’t deserve to be shortstop and they should find someone different but all his friends came together to get him over that spot and keep him as a shortstop. At the batting cage where he saw his old teammate and how he said he was still worried about him hit pretty hard too seeing Aoi cry was pretty brutal knowing how much trauma he went through dealing with this issue

Damn, this episode felt like katharsis. Seeing everyone be so supportive of Todo and him earning that encouragement by being so willing to cast aside his pride, try new things to help his recovery and eventually realizing it's okay to move on from what happened that day... A good cry is a convenient way to get some of this pesky spring pollen out of my very allergic system!!

I loved the brief emphasis on Yamada's character during Chihaya's analysis as well. Many people seem to reduce Yamada into a mere narrator when in reality, just his presence is enough to change the dynamic of the whole group – he is just as much of a personality as the rest of the main cast! I know I say this practically every week, but they really are the ideal friend group.

Aoi having the psychological disease of yips, that cuts the group's chances of facing Teitoku at their best. But Kaname...is just back at his usual jokes, now with the yips which is just hilarious. Yipsters, yeah right, but in practice, that meant that Aoi couldn't perform to his very best, which Haruka retaliates back with his optimism to find a way to overcome the yips. Trying to change positions is the only way, and Aoi being designated to a shortstop, it's a rather demanding and critical position that he wants to try.

Aoi practicing with the good seniors, and Taro stepping in to help, Shunpei sees through the latter's effort, which is actually helping for the one hop. Shunpei recording Aoi's form is also one way to retrain his brain, and Haruka already giving the shortstop position to Aoi, he makes it work through relentless practice. And a fellow Senpai coincidentally meeting him at the baseball batting area, Takasu catches up with him, learning that he's not at Teitoku, and the Kotesashi team are a group of really interesting guys.

Aoi really has come a long way...still in progress.

Kei is becoming less annoying and he's actually helping his teammates. Was great seeing them working together and props to Toudo for not making any excuse and facing things head on. Loved watching Todo's sister again too.

"Traumas, training and tears" ⚾

Banana boy is getting better, actually using his few neurons and even scolding Haruka, not too bad.
Chihaya doesn't disappoint as the team therapist, always sharply observing and advising his teammates.
Ganbare ne Todo~

Is it just me or did the animation changed slightly?

Damn, Kiyo has not filter, I fell bad for Aoi, he tries his best but is unable to play.

Yay, Yama in action, finally we got to see our boy.

Mamoru Miyano did fantastic job with those dying noises, this is what I love the most in this anime, those little funny moments.
