I'm 2 episodes in but the whole family that doesn't get along isn't really interesting to me and i just watched it because of it's virtual reality theme because i like stuff like Serial Experiments Lain, SAO, and Accel World. Does it get good?

Yes, it really gets better
It gets better at Episode 3 (the story in PLANET) and by the end of Episode 6, that's when the real life story gets really good

I’m mixed on this series. I do think its various twists and turns are more interesting than what it presents early, but I’d say the series is pretty messy overall. Worthwhile in its own way, and I like the big swings it took, even if many of them didn’t hit for me.

its the only "VR MMO" anime ive seen that is actually interesting. worth watching

I can mostly agree the series itself is good however it kind of has always been shot for me because of my initial expectations of it I thought it was going to be you know this slow reconvening of the family in better and better terms... but you know that didn't exactly happen. so sort of the turnpoint of it getting darker and dark are not lighter and light I hated but the ending hold an ok play in my heart.

The plot is really interesting, honestly more hooked than when I watched SAO ngl. I felt really conflicted in who to root for cause they all seem like assholes but honestly I feel like after watching the anime it’s really refreshing to see

Idk, Ive reached ep.6 and still feel like the show is just mid...dont know if I should continue if the twist didnt win me at all.

It's really not. The story goes all over the place halfway through and the characters are very uninteresting and nothing to write home about.

I haven't finished it yet, but so far it's got a really similar feel to Chaos;Head / Chaos;Child. If you liked those, you'd probably like this.

They really thought they did something but it actually just makes no sense. They wasted an interesting premise on ridiculous nonsense stakes instead of investigating the nuances of their characters. Tbh v bad.l, not worth your time.
