| Even though Mio has been a bit of a brat in recent episodes, I still think that ultimately this series is about her, all the reasons why this show makes me feel invested in it relate back to Mio. She’s actually so sweet and voiced by the absolute cutest girl in the world too (Asakura Momo). She’s just a kid so I think she’s allowed to be in the process of maturing and she clearly loves her family so much. I just want her to be happy by the end of the series, she’s precious. |

| 10 episodes in, I suppose its safe to say that Yuu is an idealized fanfic version of Ruka. Shares virtually the same character design, but without the baggage that made Ruka so divisive for the Rent-a-Girlfriend audience. On top of that, she ain't falling in love for someone as terrible as Kazuya and has Chizuru's dream job to boot. So it's easy to see why Ruka stans really can perceive Yuu as Ruka's expy. Makes me wonder what came first - her character design or her character traits? Or was Sora Amamiya's casting the turning point for Yuu's character? Though I'm still shocked that Mio has surprisingly a high number of votes despite her creepy attitude as of late. Yeah, I get that Nozomi ain't particularly compelling in the grand scheme of anime girls... but come on folks.... |
