Just as Komari and Vill are back into their regular life, things take a turn for the worse.
Caostel having Komari merch with a T-shirt of her Ahegao face, it's damn weird lols. But fellow Crimson Lord "The Black Flash" Flote Mascarail coming in to provocate on Komari, there is absolutely no shame, as much as Komari sure does not mean it. But the case of her father being killed (and can be revived with the Dark Core), it seems that terrorism has not ended, and having a Core Implosion, that's the least that she is expected to do to confront the terrorist. But Komari won't be doing this alone, she's paired with yet another Crimson Lord: Sakura Memoir, and a rather shy one at that.
Having killed one and assuming his/her position, Sakuna was already appointed hers without knowing the implications behind it. But Vill and Caostel properly guiding Komari along, giving them vacations and a date with her...yup, that's a way to boost her Corps' morale. Even fellow Crimson Lord Helldeus Heaven acts as a priest for an orphanage, for which Sakuna came about and Helldeus offering the position since she was practicing magic and somehow killed one of the Crimson Lords by accident. Vill's frustrations are pent up, so the focus is shifted to discussing about the terrorist, though Sakuna isn't as strong herself, and Komari wants to just laze around and act like a big shot in front of people. But for her Corps to be suddenly attacked by Flote out of the blue, she's just testing Sakuna's power, and for Komari with the inability to control her troops, at the next Crimson Lords conference, Komari will be denounced.
Sure, Sakuna is on her side, but the other 5 will vote for or against her. What is Komari's standing?
We get introduced to Sakuna this time, another rather weak Crimson Lord. There was also the introduction of 2 other Crimson Lords, but they were of the strong variety.
One picked a fight with Terakomari and now she's going to end up getting demoted from being a Crimson Lord and will suffer death by explosion. Well that escalated rather quickly.
this show has been such a good surprise. ive genuinely liked every episode so far, and all the character designs. also the dynamics are so cute, i love it. this episode was rlly good too
Anyway i wont think too much about the fallout from the last ep.
Presumably im guessing each arc or so will introduce an extra girl maybe, though while 8 eps is a lot at the same time hmm.
Like is it just going to get darker or stay the same? because komari is going to be in big trouble if this keeps happening.
Did they just skip the op again?
anyway vill and komari, komari and vill. uhh. well idk, since its more like comedic than actually focusing on komari and vill
so yeah uh. no idea but something ominous, etc. i mean when you have a bunch of powerful people running about maybe its inevitable that stuff would happen
not sure about the whole terrorist and traitor plot and what not.
i have to say though this in universe t shirt of komari. uh. idk what to say man.
like could they at least have picked a more normal looking
so yeah. they did not actually tell us, the audience, that the empress name is actually "karen", so its funny because we learn at the same time as komari. (or at least i think it was not mentioned at all in ep 1)
i mean the details of exactly how komari's powers work is also kind of eh. not sure if the censoring effect is also caused by it, or by someone else (presumably, but that has its own implications too if they can just manipulate or erase memories)
curious though. i mean the other miss already mentioned someone, so clearly they uh
also for us the audience we already "clearly" saw that actually she is the one(?) who is actually behind the attacks, so its curious
ok so now things are getting complicated. either she has a identical twin running around, or her own incident was curious
so its a mystery now
at least maybe we'll finally get to see how strong the others are. maybe
so we dont know the exact details, but somehow sakuna had some kind of accident previously
(also if there were seven what happened to the one before komari?)
i mean right now the obvious(?) theory is that sakuna is similar to komari in the sense that her power loses control, and also conveniently seems to wipe out everyone's memory, presumably even her own
its not that sakuna is not cute, but komari kinda like, makes it hard to judge
anyway after the whiplash of the last few eps we're back to comedy as you would expect. for how long though idk, it'll be pretty harsh if they have repeated whiplash every 2 eps
so in one episode they've shown us three more. still three more left though
i mean im assuming we'll get to see sakuna's backstory in ep 7 or 8 or so, since they wouldnt want to reveal it too early
not sure how the komari and vill and sakuna triangle is going to work, vill is already pretty unhappy and im not sure
would be funny if someone actually wins the "reward", but if anything i think there's a chance that wont even happen. but its a possibility
its implied/easy to forget that, there's presumably a lot of other like, "ordinary" people, not just the crazy guys from the army
i wonder if writing and reading letters is going to be a recurring trend
assuming sakuna is telling the truth, i mean it still seems a bit weird but shrug
we dont actually get to see it but it is fascinating in a sense. though not sure how many times they can pull the "she's just like me/komari" card
well this is awkward, i mean, thats just how komari's life is now, she has to say things she doesnt want just because
though to be honest for the most part she hasnt actually been in public. or at least, on screen
meanwhile we get interrupted. i mean unlike komari who basically cant do anything, it seems sakuna can at least maybe do something. maybe. though we saw what happened to vill so uh idk. im assuming sakuna is actually going to be around all the time and not just conveniently disappear
ok things definitely appear to be escalating.
so, shenanigans happens with komari's troops, uh. and then whatever is this
its actually pretty genius of vill to trick people to activate her power. though uh.
didnt she say that its 100% guaranteed to happen? i mean the future is the future, so in theory it can be changed, though that kinda does you know ruin the whole seeing the future thing
also maybe im the one jumping to conclusions about sakuna, but well anyway clearly someone is responsible for the attacks, and they'll just need to figure that out
while also working on the whole komari thing
its funny because komari is shorter than sakuna. oh well. also komari is like, really small
seems we ran out of time and the credits are rolling
Actually now that i think about it, this might have been the least bloody episode so far? maybe.
Looks like we have more crazy stuff happening next episode.
Honestly i didnt realize until other people pointed it out, but apparently this is done by project 9. though i dont usually pay attention to studios, they usually dont do such dark or bloody anime. though eh.
Sakuna i didnt recognize, though she's voiced by iwami manaka. she probably has a bigger range than i expect. also because well i'm not too familiar with all these newer voice actors
Sakuna seems like a good girl so far, though well only so much screentime.
No sign of millicent, though who knows, she might just randomly show up in an ep or two. Or idk man.
There's a whole bunch of characters in the cast list, and in the first 5 eps, like, literally thats all the characters we had, and two of them were just introduced this ep.
I sympathize with Komari having to lead a pack of murderhobos. But knowing now that she's really strong, I'm not too worried about Flöte causing her any harm.
Ahhhhh! I can't even express how great this anime is starting to be! When I was heading into this anime without knowing what it had in store, I was greatly amused at how amazing and lively it was to watch. I keep wanting more, and that's how all anime you watch should be!
