I'm frustrated [SPOILER underneath]

I heard the movie has no armor digivolving.

That is one of my favorite Digimon songs.

I really prefered this over Kizuna tbh. Yeah the focus was a lot on Rui, but it made me care and actually get to know the character. Menoa bored me to death and was such a simple of the shelf villain.
I really enjoyed the movie. Only gripe is that it could have been longer and a "real" climax was missing. The story stuff about the Digi Destined you can kinda explain yourself but yeah it was a weird huge retcon.
I look forward too what the next movie will be. Hopefully more 2 or Tamers, Frontiers. I really don't need another mediocre or ok Adventure 1 story.

Anyone knows where to watch the movie?

I've yet to see the movie but if what you say is accurate then that'd be a shame. I was expecting this movie to in a way be the Last Evolution Kizuna equivalent to the 02 team and not a movie majorly focused on a newly introduced character. However, I still think I'm going to enjoy it when it arrives in theaters in my country; just watching the 02 team getting some spotlight again after being outrageously neglected in Tri is going to be worth the try.

I actually think this is good stuff, I have fun watching this, just as I have fun watching 02 two decades ago. No armor digivolving seems to be the only weakness in this anime.

Ps. Does this mean we're living in a post-digivice world? I'm not convinced for a bit that Bandai/Toei will stop selling one of its best-selling toy.

@Lucifrost Surely, because armor Level is weaker than Champion Level except Gold Armor. It can be look at Adventure: which Patamon didn't has energy to evolve be Angemon so he take Armor Level.

Basically Armor Similar as Rookie Level which got Power Up using Equip(Armor).

Examples from the Adventure: reboot are not relevant since The Beginning is of a different continuity. The armor digimon of 02 are all as strong as champions, if not stronger. If armor digimon were weaker, gatomon would have never changed into nefertimon. You can tell just by LOOKING at the digimon that halsemon and flamedramon are basically aquilamon and x-veemon with armor. Hawkmon and veemon are nowhere near that level.

Armor Absolutely worse than Champion, you can see after Veemon can evolve XVmon, Veemon never using his armor except Dark Tower Activated.

They using Armor at 02 because they can't Evolution because Dark Tower. After all, Dark Tower can't seal Armor Digivolve.
And Theyjust destroying Dark Ring not defeating opponent.
No matter how I look, Flamedramon similar to Veemon than ExVeemon. There are no wing, no X in her stomach, no muscles.

BTW, from the word Armor, we can see it's digivolve just using Armor. Not a Evolution as species.

@YuriEmpress I mean it doesn't matter what is stronger. Armor is cool and I wanted to see it at least once. But that's just my personal opinion

I had very low expectation going into this because of Mal's low rating.
After finishing it, yeah i should never trust Mal's users / taste at all cuz they're the prime of hypocrisy when it comes to rating.

This movie outdone all the Digimon Tri's BS yet Tri got a higher rating which is just laughable.
The theme and story of this new movie is more mature and dark than the original story, and follow more about the Digimon Tamer trend.
If this movie replace all the Digimons to some other magical creatures and put Mokoto Shinkai's name on it, people would have easily give the story itself a high mark.

PS: Those who feel bad about Ukkomon, you have to know Lui was only 4~8 during that time , so he himself doesn't know what's right or wrong too. He is not a mature adult who can decide his own thing during that age. Also Digimon never truly dies when they're destroyed in real world, they just turn back into egg and would be reborn soon so no need to feel bad for it as well.
