| This type of humor can reach you, regardless of how mature you strive to be, even if you're reluctant to acknowledge it. You know, I have a feeling cookies shaped like poop could actually be a hit. I'm not entirely convinced about the chocolate ones, but the others could definitely sell well if they taste good. They're quirky and have a novelty factor. It's amusing to think that having a daughter with such a unique sense of aesthetics, but lacking a bit of practicality, might lead to thinking that not everything translates well into reality. Alright you've convinced me Fairy. I'm going to sleep. |

| What a sweet little episode, though if you ask me, I think Aoi Koga is really associated to her character of Kaguya based on the first half of this episode. Remember how Kaguya couldn't help but laugh at ちんちん jokes? It seems Alyssa has a similar mindset, but rather with うんこ shaped cookies yet still tries to be supportive of Viola; very fitting for an 親バカ. On the second half, Mr Sandmann is an absolute mood, though man's right about stress and the inability to sleep. Reminds me of that one bit from Gintama where Kagura couldn't sleep. But once again, Phoenix has proven himself to be the best character of the series with his comedic timing and volcano detox. |

| This was a PSA episode, seriously take care of your sleep cycle, so many take it for granted, specially while young and then screw it up and it is so hard to fix it, specially if you enter in that stress loop of knowing that you must sleep so it makes it almost impossible to fall asleep. | This show gets weirder and weirder with every new episode. Although I can predict that the author of the original manga was simply going through the process of accepting that people were getting weird vibes from their fantasy. |

| This episode, and series as a whole, continues to be weird and unique. Speaking of which, why were the eels speaking English?? lol Anyways, I don't blame Alyssa for trying hard not to laugh about the cookies that look like poo and then freaking out later when Sandman was sitting next to Viola's bed. At least Alyssa got some valuable sand although she lost sleep over it. |

| Alyssa had a hard time telling Viola about her cookies here... Explains a lot about how Viola became like she is today! Same for Alyssa's dirty humor. Like mother, like daughter! The Sandmann segment was really wholesome and educational, although I also loved the idea of magic dust being an addictive sleep drug! xD |
| Viola going all cooking...but why they all look like burnt poop? Those are chocolate cookies? Alyssa has a hard time trying to explain to Viola, though in the jinn eel shape, they're all very alien to distract Alyssa astray into thinking tht they're all poop. At the very least, poop in different colours...at least don't look bad, but giving them to people...it looks all wrong, and Phoenix even says so. A bedtime story, but the Sandmann, a sleep fairy experiencing insomnia? That's a horror story that he ended up crashing at their house, because of stress from his wife and body ailments. Sure, they can call Phoenix for help, but it's in the dead of the night, and Sandmann doesn't like beams nor understand Alyssa and Viola's living conditions. Even milk will not do because of his co-worker...and when all is said, only a lullaby is worth trying at this point, and even that doesn't help, so a doctor is the last resortf or advice, which Sandmann finally gets his fix. As a reward, giving them his sleep dust, which fetches a high price, it's a loot item. Alyssa ended up...not sleeping because of that. Now, everyone go to sleep! |

| That first part won't even make kids laugh these days. The sleep fairy part was kinda funny at times and sort of creepy too. Poor Alyssa though, couldn't sleep cause of the dust. |

| Nominating Sandman as our sleep patrol character since so many people pull all-nighters saying they don't need sleep. Also, I like the little formula of Alyssa and Viola helping out with other people's problems a lot more than Viola just kinda being hella possessive to wild lengths. Like, I don't MIND that, but I very much prefer this. I think a lot of people got scared away by that aspect of the show, but I think this anime would have hit a lot differently for everyone if it kept up this type of structure. It works really well. Aside from that, the cookie part was cute. The eels speaking English was pretty funny, but Alyssa trying hard not to crack was cute too! I liked how serious yet gentle the scene before the reveal of the eel cookies was. Like, as a gourmet anime-lover I was actually really digging it, and then the cookie reveal definitely got a little chuckle out of me. Overall, nice episode! |
