| This is a pretty good adaptation, I mean it's very rare for an old classic manga to get such an amazing treatment, but I'd still prefer the manga because it was my first experience. |

| @FiliCZ so, this is actually weird. because i went and checked, and what i found is very surprising. When i said favourite part i was thinking about the conversation with the robot wife. I remember that scene making me tear up in that chapter, with how her small story humanized her. but in the anime, i knew that something was missing from what i remembered. so i just assumed the conversation was cut half way through. but the truth is, there was only a single line that was cut. right after she talks about how the dog died, there is a line that says "i think i finally understand how he felt" talking about the boy crying. that line was also build up to by her saying she doesn't understand the appeal of tea. it was the line that made her feel so human. So despite being one line, it was one line that served as something similar to a punch line to a joke. that was actually really cool to look back and compare how one line changed so much about how i felt. thanks for making me look at it lol |
