Not much Maetel here, but we're returning to the doubts of the early series regarding whether Tetsuro should become a cyborg after all. I can't help but think that maybe Pheras was a character made for fan service, as she looked a lot like Maetel but as a one-off they were able to show her posing naked. Apparently back then nipples didn't need to be censored either.

Quite the NTR/romance episode! We also had a full shot of fanservice which is a first! Pretty decent episode in general.

Guess you can't be a model without having to fall in love with your painter if you don't want to come out looking like a bad person.

Life without dreams is just sad..

That escalated quickly(I lold hard when Lestel held to the car; he definitely won't make it back) Shitty ending for everyone. Premise for this episode was to my liking, but in the end it fell a bit flat.

One Piece episode 914 & 915 & 1027 were a mistake and 957 brought the salvation - FMmatron

Dreaming is not always a good thing. Sometimes you are disturbed by it to the point that you forget what is real and what is illusion. Will Tetsurou realize that his dream may also be a misinterpretation of what it is to enjoy life?

I feel bad for Lestel and the blue-haired girl who loves him. Lestel made the unwise decision of joining the military, and Lestel has no idea, and is simply waiting for him, even though he may never return, and has never reciprocated her feelings.

Romantic episode.
Kind of sad love story.

Bad decision for Lestel..
Very sad for Naya. Not knowing about it and keep waiting for her lover that might not comes back anymore.

This was a very "What?" episode for me.
First off, the huge emphasis on Tetsuro being romantically in love with Maetel and it never being discredited is weird. Are they fine with this woman (that we know nothing of, but most likely in her 30s at least) being in a romantic situation with this boy (whom we also don't know the age of, but I would say that he's certainly no older than 10)? I understand that some shows have something to say about it, but this one certainly does not. It's incredibly old fashioned per every lesson it gives, I don't expect them trying to explain the danger of that.
Then, the whole thing with Lestel. Didn't like any of it. I thought I would feel sad for Naya at least, but they made her subserviant to an extreme degree, and honestly, it's not like we were given a reason to think he would like her. Feels like romanticised stalker behavior. Lestel is a jerk. The 2 mechanical humans were probably the most within their rights. In fact, when the guy was just driving away and Lestel grabbed onto the car, he even did the right thing and didn't just stop. If he had, Lestel would have crashed into the car head first with the acceleration they had, which would have killed him. Having them blow up and Maetel saying "oh, they're mechanical humans, they didn't have real love" is such an idiot thing to do. What, you're telling me that the mechanical humans we've seen up till this point didn't actually have any emotions? What about that glass/fluorescent person in one of the earlier episodes, the one who died protecting Tetsuro? What about that wooden man from the dead leaves planet? What about like literally any other mechanized humans, or even mechanized non-humans (such as the one from the living, moving planet)?

That's about it for that. But seriously, why are planets starting to affect the people who go to them in a psychological way? What are they, Jojo stands?
