Love the LN, the next best thing to Ascendance of a Bookworm when it comes to these kinda stories (although it's definitely not on the same level, especially endgame Honzuki)
Another for thegirlboss lol genrei! It'd be interesting if she didn't get a 'redemption' but just became more tactful, but knowing how these things usually go they'll probably make her into a nice girl oh well. Guillotine-san is the best character.
I'd be an edgelady apologist, if only I were sorry
I liked the setup of the selfish princess going back in time to save her country, but once she went back in time, she's kinda annoying. She yells way too much, and a pet peeve of mine is when characters talk out loud to themselves and she does that.
Her maturity is not that of someone who spent 3 years in prison, got executed, and lived till the age of 20. I am holding out hope that she'll change and become more mature but I doubt it. I'm going to watch the whole thing anyway, and maybe the side characters will make it better.
I prefer this one "redeemed vilainess" anime than the one we had last season.
In this one we have an exact same person redeeming herself instead of someone completely different being isekai'd and taking the reins. This gives us an actual redemption scenario, especially since Luna still has her spoiled personality, that will be her obstacle.
Hibiki Tachibana from Symphogear is THE worst protagonist in all anime. No hyperbole or exaggeration.
I get that it is comedy, but 3 years of hell would be so much trauma, shrugging that off except for the guillotine really pulls the rug from below. If she was executed immediately after being imprisoned, then maybe the way she reacted going back 8 years might seem more in line. She has all her memories, regardless of going back to the age of 12, wouldn't she be acting much more mature?
It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

@neonat
It was clearly established in the anime that her memory is not intact.
The premise is not very unique but it met my expectations of this genre and I really enjoyed the first episode. It has well-done directing & pacing imo, also the animations look quite alright.
Basically Marie Antoinette meets reincarnation and trying to change your inevitable fate in death type plot.
I think I had this in my field of vision before this aired because of seeing comedy as a tag as well as Sumire Uesaka starring as the MC as well as doing the song too.
Didn't really know what I was getting myself into whilst skim-reading the synopsis beforehand but seems like it'll be a fairly amusing story ahahah
That was amusing though I feel it was a bit abrupt of a change in tone and mindset.

Id be rooting for them to lop her head off a second time if she wasn't changed. Seems to be a bit of a mix though where she feels more grateful after what she went through but she also doesn't seem entirely changed because she doesnt remember every detail entirely.
Oh wow, this one is good. SILVER LINK did a great job with this first episode, although not the only reincarnated as your past self anime this season, I think this one has been done a lot better.
The visuals are beautiful and the characters so far are very good. I think I'm gonna enjoy this one a whole lot.
The opening and ending are really good too. I look forward to next week's episode.
prologue not look like comedy at all. wat's this morbid Antoinette plot?
Ost quite strong as is Mia's amazing VA playing the age range.
OP so cheery, tons of desuwaaaa. ED pretty.
Chef & Anne both very caring nice people.
that hightea music lol.
Like Lastame but time travel, wonder how it balance the comedy & drama.
I still feel iffy about the voice for Mia but I think thats just me being too deep into the Light Novel and Manga to the point where I already had my own voice for her in my head. I'm not sure how far in the anime I'll get cause of this but we'll see. I'm planning to re-read all of the LN I've read up to so even if I end up dumping the anime I've got that.
Yuritopia FTW!!!!!!!!! BANZAI TO YURI !!!!!!!!!!!!
Emotional start to this redemption story, loved how Mia treated Anne the 2nd time. But with her seemingly having no clue on how to run a kingdom this would be a struggle for her but entertainment to us viewers
I enjoyed this one more than the Shut in Vampire Princess airing this season that do share similarities (a spoiled girls and her personal maid). Even if the animation is way more basic in this one, the characters are far more likeable and the yuri vibes are far more subtle.
Holy sh*t, OMG I LOVE this song!! ❤️ The opening song is a f*king banger, my dudes! Like wow, I can’t believe they made such an awesome song, lol. I literally replayed the original mv, and the tv cut vers. like five times already, and I still want to play it again. Haha, okay I’m freakin’ out here, and I probably sound really creepy for posting this raw reaction of mine, but I feel like I had to get this out there! 9/10 I almost always skip the op song because I’m a believer that the anime itself is most important and because I firmly believe that the op+eds are pretty bad for the most part (imo at least) so this is a very rare moment, where I’m spazzing out how godly this song is 😂 Savor this song you guys, this one is a keeper on your playlist
But from how it looks, she's just a pampered Princess that's purely acting like the Royalty she technically is.
However she gets most of the blames thrown at her for the faults.
This is interesting as what happened to Mia has similarities to actual History regarding Royalities around the world (multiple cultures)
In fact, you could also say how she fired people is how "Trump" fired people, cause "They didn't do a good job" LOOOOL
In fact 2, I am pretty sure majority of the current Nobles and the Rich in the world also fires people with ease too. Except current Nobles and the Rich has so much power and regular/ common people don't actually rebel at all, that the Noble and Rich can do whatever they want in the world. (AKA Elon Musk, Trump, Arab Princes, etc etc)
In fact, the last time there was a Rebel in a established country was China's Hong Kong incident and America's Jan 6 incident.
And China won that part, all Rebels are either dead, expelled or send to jail for 10+ years. And they replaced the old election system so China has 100% control over it and will keep their "God Emperor" at the top forever.
And America's Jan 6 was by Trump, and it also mostly failed. I said mostly cause Trump is still there AND in mid of running for President again, what's even more interesting is that Trump is still the TOP Republican Candidate. Espcially after the other top Republican decide to quit...

Nothing Written Here But Us Anime Bunnies *boing boing boing*
EP 12 is airing in less than a week and here i am watching ep 1
Im not even entirely sure why im doing this but oh well
Like i said i would be more picky, but this is the 7th anime i'm watching this season. not that its necessarily a bad thing but like
And i have no idea what im going into, all i know is that the main character is voiced by uesaka sumire and she has to somehow carry the whole anime.
The anime isnt quite as popular as I thought, one of the reasons why I picked it was because I heard it was really popular.
I'm a bit late to the whole, whatever is this genre called where the mc
wait she spent THREE YEARS in jail? i mean. hmm. they did timeskip over it of course, but still, thats rather uncommon
so who is this last visitor
i mean details aside, like. she's at most what, 20 or 25 maybe, but i guess angry mob be angry.
curious though
cough. anyway, 3 or 4 mins later
damn she's so cute
so yeah, she directly reincarnated back about 10 ish years or so, so she's basically a 20 year old in the body of a 10 year old. i guess its a bit weird but not so bad
so yeah conveniently her uh, diary book thingy also got transported with her. kinda depressing though.
also i thought they were gonna skip the op but we get it 5 mins in
the op song is a bit weird, and we see a lot of characters.
i think they overused the guillotine a bit but anyway
or maybe she's 15 or so? idk. like. not entirely sure. like where's the rest of her family?
i guess after being in a jail cell for 3 years literally anything would be ok
i mean i wonder if its only her memories that have changed, but something mind over matter. maybe.
also like uhm, idk if these constant flashbacks. i know thats the whole point of the story, but having mood whiplash in the episodes themselves is kinda oof
i mean its like a silly thing but im already a bit emotional in the first ep. i mean i guess thats the whole point you know, her sob story and then this
that being said, i do wonder if there'll be timeskips. since there's obviously a substantial amount of time until she was thrown in jail. at least 2 years probably, if not 5?
also i know its kinda ridiculous but like really, one meal is a month's salary? thats outrageous. imagine something like that costing hundreds or thousands in modern day
its funny, because cakes actually are really expensive even in modern day. it doesnt even seem that badly damaged tbh.
i do wonder if they have spares for important events
anyway yet another flashback. turns out we didnt have to wait too long, this maid is the person who showed up right at the "end"
i guess the maids have to be older than mia. hmm. or maybe they're just big and mia is really small?
so a devoted, but clumsy maid. i guess at least she's devoted.
i'm not sure when they changed to linear money, but i wonder if they also had moneh problems back then from handling coins
wont people find it really awkward that mia is carrying around a book with stains on it?
so ok the two main issues she needs to stop, somehow fix/prevent the finances from exploding, and then somehow figure out how to stop a famine from happening. somehow. i'm not actually sure how you're supposed to stop a famine besides having connections and/or more land
so mia is 12 now, and it seems she's thrown into jail at 17?
its hard to say since we only see her around other adults so she looks really small
also where daheck is mia's family?
Anyway that was an introduction, we meet our main character and introduced to her main maid.
Apparently anne is voiced by tomori, but there was no real way to tell since I'm not familiar enough to tell its her and she didnt have enough lines.
She sure is super popular now isnt she.
From what I saw I'm not sure if the cast is more like an otome game (mostly guys) or mostly girls. Hmm.
It's kind of weird though, because the way the story is set up. I mean every anime with a similar premise has the same issue, every day that goes by is one more day on the countdown to the end unless she can stave things off.
For now at least it seems at least mia and anne are cute and good girls.
My only worry is that some plot twist later and/or the story will get a bit dark later on. Obviously we might have a 12 year old cute princess but she has some really difficult stuff to deal with.
This Anime starts off Beautifully! i love how when she died it rewound to the intro which was SO GOOD I SAT AND THROUGHLY ENJOYED IT! i love how Mia reacted to things with her attitude and voice acting was so!!! and Anne gets the reward for he future-past's self :D as well as Mia realizing harsh truths after a logical denial, then! its just so fun. i'm a sucker for Timeline Fuckery in almost any way and getting to see this play out aftwr my mood was very uplifted with entertainment leaves me excited to see this story(of which i've not read or heard of prior) play out with my connections and namely comparisons that are likely wrong but fun to make... ah so fun! i'm going to enjoy episode two now!
The premise is strong, a rarity nowadays. Though I feel it's watered down by the forced comedy that doesn't fit a premise with so much pathos. Therefore, the tone feels off, dissonant, schizophrenic. Decide what you want it to be dammit.
would have been more interesting if this were betrayal and revenge plot
this feels like something i have seen many times already but with Otome game, basically same plot as with Otome game isekai series and there are like 3 versions of it, its getting old
