Tbh, I think this final episode was a combination of charm, energy, and overall fitting for the overall tone. Once agin, Leonhart demonstrates his leadership with his words to the people.

Looking back at everything Safiri has been through, she deserved to be up there with Leonhart. She also looked great with that white dress and veil. The OP theme played one last time and well, I think this was an overall interesting show.

The real truth about Justice Set: despite the royal blood in his veins, with Leo and Sariphi's comeback arrival into Ozmargo, he doesn't waver and retaliates against the current King with all that he has. But that's not enough to defeat Leo, and despite his half-human, half-demon origin, his magic power overwhelms Set, which adding to his exploits, does not deem him fit to the throne. His last resort of resorting to forbidden magic works to the detriment of all, but when Archpriest Capel came out of the woodwork from the crystal to shed light on what exactly happened back then, and it was a fact that the child was falsely indicted into the royal line, which that child was Set, and his mother suffered a convicted falsehood for all her life. The simple truth was that his entire life was built upon lies, and he ultimately suffered for his karma with all the excessive power ridden into him. But despite Sariphi's comfort, Set lost his way out of love, and died without honour.

Chancellor Anubis should be glad that he's still alive, after being deceived time and time again, wanting to leave because Leo has Sariphi. But he forgotten that him being Leo's personal attendant, has led him to the way he is before he met Sariphi, more than the attendant that he is, but also his very first friend whom Leo sincerely cared for in his past. For now, they have to get rid of the remnants following Set's ideals, while Sariphi reveals the story of how Leo came to be, formed from a human mother and the beast father of the former King who's ashamed of his misforgivings. And sure enough, the name that Sariphi gave him, was the exact meaning of the name that his mother wanted to give him: Richard, also meaning "Lionheart".

As Princess Amit received her praise from Jorgunmand, Leo removes all pretenses and reveals all the information to the beastkin of Ozmargo, which aided by Leo's strong words, its people rapture in overwhelming cheerfulness. And as preparations make way for the reunion with Yoana, both Leo and Sariphi have their wedding ceremony, with the latter having been glad to see him through the thick and thin, right to this very day. And sure enough, they gave the name Richard to their newborn son. If Princess Amit and Jorgunmand's romance can never be realized, it's Anubis teaching the prince of the marriage between Leo and Sariphi that makes nations pledge allegiance together.

The story of a half-human, half-demon and his fortunate sacrifical princess, comes to a close, and so that says for the manga's conclusion as well.

Beauty and the Beast X How I Met Your Mother, that's the perfect ending to this show.
Overall, a good re-telling of Beauty and the Beast in anime form.

They saved the best for last eh?

Under the leadership of Galoa, the Istan Navy came to aid, and declarations of support for Leonhart were received from King Sabre and Lord Maasya. Salif asserts that the people understand Leonhart's aspiration to build a nation where anyone, regardless of their race, can live without being trampled upon. Encouraged by these words, Leonhart gathers his courage to once again confront Seto. However, suddenly, a miasma blankets the sky, obscuring the sunlight. Thus begins the final battle of Leonhart, who has transformed back into the Beast King.

Damn Leo spits some powerful fucking quotes this episode. "The strength required of a king, is not the powerful magic bestowed upon his species. It is the strength to protect those who strive to live in his land." Powerful. I'm really gonna miss this show. Although I thought it was nothing mor than a Beauty and the Beast anime version, it turned out to be something much more beautiful than that.

7/10. Easily one of the sleepers of this year.

Can’t believe it’s really over man 😩we said goodbye to peak shoujo today after 6 months of a beautifully crafted story. I will miss Sariphi and Leo so much.

Knowing that Set’s whole crusade was based on a lie makes me feel a little sympathy for him at the end. I didn’t like the way he went about things, but I did somewhat see his argument. I’m pretty sure signing off on his birth certificate would’ve meant the king gave him a decent future in terms of financial security. Like even if he weren’t the official heir, he still would’ve lived in the palace, albeit out of the public light. The whole ordeal gives off heavy Todd Philips Joker vibes, if you know you know.

“I wanted the woman I loved to be accepted by you, my first friend” 😭 damn man way to pull at the heartstrings there. Such a genuine conversation between Leo and Anubis. I still don’t like how Anubis was about to side with Set, but if Leo can forgive I can forgive too. More than even people of the kingdom, Leo just wanted Anubis to accept his marriage.

Leo tearing up at reading his mother’s words got me too. Such a beautiful moment. All this time he had been living with doubts about if his parents truly loved him and wow, they loved him beyond his wildest imagination. I’d love to see an OVA of them just being happy together.

“My queen is more beautiful than anything in the entire world” OMG OMG. Sariphi looks absolutely stunning in her wedding dress. Truly fitting for a queen.

This is how you end a romance series. Wedding, timeskip, kids and happy ever after. The journey to change the culture of Ozmargo was a long and arduous one, but such a satisfying experience. Only complaint is I wish we got to see timeskip Sariphi and Leo! Seeing Richard was great though. He’s definitely been influenced by uncle Lante 😂 the kingdom is in good hands. And it’s nice to see the human kingdom also teaching a revised version of history.

No more royal blood lineage drama if the kingdom choose to go republic.

Anyway, I can't believe Princess Amit and captain Jormungand still don't married, considering that Sariphi/Leonhart son is already old enough to learn history lesson.

I hope the sequel will get adapted too, even if it takes several years. Richard seems like an interesting kid to be observed.

I make some assumptions on how Richard was made, but it's inappropriate to post here.

Aah it's over, and well a beautiful ending, everyone got a best route, except for Set that so really very ironic destiny

And with Richard is already born and already show up, i guess that the anime would got Season 2, even if it will take a long long time to getting there

Finally, i just wanna said, nice ride and nice anime that i watched 👍👍💙💙

Ahhh that was beautiful. This is how the finale should be. One of the best ending this season. I'm so happy for Sariphi and Leo. What an interesting love story of a human and a beast. Literally a Beauty and the Beast route. I didn't expect to like this kind of show.

While it is a shame that some characters and arcs had to be cut or had their roles reduced. It is understandable considering that the anime staff had 24 episodes to tell the story.

That being said, this is a pretty good addaptation that managed to capture the overall feeling and message of the manga almost perfectly.

It was so nice visiting these characters again 8/10.

From Anubis giving props to Sariphi, the speech and the little epilogue, it was a pretty much perfect feel good finale. Really, it hardly left anything to be desired. More than glad it sticked the landing after being enjoyable throughout it's whole run. That's pretty rare. Therefore, despite some minor nitpicks like more development for the sidecast and a bit more nuance a well deserved 8,5/10.

Highkey sad that it's already over.

Now that was an ending. Half a year on this rather long journey and things got settled.
I started following this right from the start and was a little bit unsure at times because of the very deep tragic lore but the little cute wholesome scenes where they become chibified was what made me continue on aside from the riveting plot.

I'm glad that they got to talk a bit more about Set's past even tho he is another one of those insufferable characters but that's what I love about this anime, they don't just create insufferable characters for the sake of plot and making the bond of the main cast stronger as a throwaway event but each character had a very well thought out lore behind their past justifying the way that they've become in the present, even with Fenrir halfway through this series too.

Was insanely surprised by the very far end tho where we get to see Leonhart and Sariphi's child! As soon as I saw that Sayumi Suzushiro was the one who played as Richard it made me laugh 'cause in my head I just kept thinking of those Bocchi memes where Nijika says See you tomorrow Bocchi ahahahhahahah
But it actually was cute with Richard's segments to see Anubis acting a whole lot more lax than he has as Chancellor in the main lot of the story tho I woulda wanted to see Leonhart and Sariphi actually had interacted with Richard too, that would've been really cute.
Kind of a shame we didn't get to see Maalo anymore, he was a good boi plus him being in the 2nd ED made me think his role was a lot more major in this show :'>

This is definitely a series that had really good storytelling and definitely good character building throughout the series aside from it appearing first to bystanders as just some furry-bait show, this anime really had a lot of substance going for it and was definitely worth the watch.

Such a heartwarming last episode. Icl though I wasn’t expecting to see a time skip to Leonhart and sariphi having a child.

Even more heartwarming that they named it after Leonhart’s original name Richard.

I don’t know if the manga ends here or not but regardless it was a perfect way to end the show.

If there is more than I’m going to definitely buy the manga.

10/10 heavily underrated and one of my favourite shows I’ve watched this season

(Edit to my comment: I looked it up and from what I’ve seen it seems like the whole manga was covered in the span of these 24 episodes.)

Sort of glad and sad that it's over now. I like things coming to a conclusion and this kind of show I feel is better with a conclusion of some kind instead of going on and on but I'd miss seeing the lives of Sari and Leo and their friends.

Didn't expect to see an ending where you see their kid. It's cute they gave Richard white hair like Sariphi. He looks a little more goat like from that at least at that age.

That was a great ending episode. I haven't seen anything that made me feel that good in a long time.

I actually felt sorry for Set some too even though he thought he had been discriminated against yet still sought to put other people through oppression, perhaps to make them feel like how he did being unintentionally mislead by his mom unbeknownst to him.

The journal belonged to the 'witch' Anastasia's "ancestor" from "generations ago" is what the sub said in episode 20. So if the sub is correct I think that means it has to at least be her grandmother or great grandmother. You can see she has a mole under her left eye but the woman shown to be Leo's mom doesnt have the mole shown and you have to remember humans live shorter lives than beasts which was stated earlier in the show iirc. So Anastasia (Asya) is more distantly related to Leo like a cousin at least.

Why did Lante break the crystal though? That made no sense to me.

It was also a little unsatisfying that they revealed Set's bloodline to be a lie. It would have been better if he had remained a royal candidate but the people supported Leonhart on their own, after experiencing the alternative.

Still, this was wonderfully cute, especially seeing Richard at the end. Too few romantic shows will follow through with the next generation.

After that episode, all I can say is... YES!!! It was a much bigger revelation that Leo's father couldn't even conceive a child, so Set didn't really have royal blood! Total mind blown!! In the end, he died by his own hand, but at least he eventually had a sense of peace when Sariphi talked to him. Leo reading what was clearly his mothers diary made me wanna cry, she insisted in taking care of the late kings brother and offered to love him for who he is, and know Leo was born loved and cried was just so beautiful!!! I loved that Anubis finally accepted Sariphi and was forgiven by Leo, that just showed how much Leo valued Anubis's friendship and support. The wedding and Sariphi's speech was everything in this, and actually seeing their own child playing made me go "Ahhhhhh"!! This was truly a beautiful ending, and after overcoming every turmoil, I'm glad everything had worked out and that humans and beastking can live in peace!

@Viewland She is Leo's distance cousin. Leo's mother only had one children and never married again after her husband death. But the whole family got blacklist because of it anyway. Its more clear in the mangá, because some scenes who got cut in the anime.
