Are the episode arcs of Demon Slayer mostly the same?

Tanjiro and Co. travel somewhere and meet the next Hashira. Demon appears, they practically kill themselves in battle alongside the Hashira, and then the group moves on to another location to meet the next Hashira. Rinse, repeat. Maybe they'll uncover something related to the overreaching plot. Is that all it is?

From what's been animated so far, yeah. Swordsmith Village kinda breaks this mold as Zenitsu and Inosuke aren't there, but yeah

I think it'll change a bit the next few seasons/movies. The infinite castle arc is coming closer and it'll be more of a spoiler

free-for-all fight between the hashira and upper moons

I mean swordsmith village breaks this pattern by getting rid of inoskue and zenitsu.

And the last 3 arc basically break this by it being a massive bunch of multi fights between the remaining top demons and demon slayers.

All the while we learn of the story and different backstory’s or other plot points.

yeah it's all the same,it's the same story going again and again.
ds is not famous for its story tho it's famous for its animation

this is exactly why i stopped watching. after a few episodes of the swordsmith village arc i realized ive already seen this and decided to move on

It was only same for Mugen train and Yuukaku hen though. SSV arc was a bit similar but we had two Hashiras and two Upper moons plus no Zenitsu or Inosuke.
Infinity castle arc completely breaks this so called pattern.

If you enjoyed the time you wasted, then its not a waste of time.

Only up until SSV Arc, the upcoming arcs break this method.

I guess, but a pattern is that the hashiras end up doing better. One died, the next one was heavily injured, and the most recent two ended up fairly unscathed

well that is also one piece but in one piece you focus on the story because you already decided to love one piece but in ds you already decided to not to focus on story because there is trend to called ds mid so I will also follow the trend by posting a forum on mal

Demon Slayer’s story is nothing special, but it’s beauty is in its simplicity. Almost every arc in the series from Mount Natagumo onwards is Tanjiro and allies vs upper ranks

So far yeah. There’s little differences here and there that add up to bigger story developments tho, and basically the rest of the story after a wordsmith village that hasn’t been animated (about 1/3 of the manga) is not rlly the same pattern.

I’d say the next arcs are more of a focus on the whole demon slayer corps and their development and more larger battles (instead of just tanjiro and co plus one hashira)

That said it’s still a typical shounen plot and has typical shounen elements so no, does not completely break expectations or anything.

They changed it up a little by getting rid of Zenitsu and Inosuke in Swordsmith Village, but other than that it’s mostly the same
