this was a cute way to welcome everyone to the reading room.

Such a cute short story about a OL thats just a little too tired of being a pushover. She finds a cute little teddy bear thingy and uses it as an emotional support. Her falling in love with a hobby is so cute and relatable and a good way to de-stress.
There were a couple of emotional scenes and It had a good impact in the short while it stayed.

overall : 8/10
I wish it was longer

(im not good with words)

In chapter 2 when everyone is piling work on her, and she accepts but kinda regrets it. Dang, so relatable.

This was cute! It was a simple story but I honestly didn't know what each chapter would be about.

I really liked how Shirayuki wasn't the reason Tanaka worked to improve herself. He was supportive and she found happiness with him, but she also found it on her own which was nice to see.
Also enjoyed how her workplace wasn't really out to get her. That one scene where the manager tells her to do extra work to take the other girl out to dinner was kinda whack though.
Art was expressive and Kurumi's outfits at the end were all cute.

Overall: 7/10
Not a big fan of how dependant she was on the doll, but it's a cute story and he had the ability to move around, so I can't complain too much.

Cute, short, fun read for the first our first monthly!

Such a cute relateable manga- the romance between Tanaka and Shirayuki was cute and well-written especially as a background aspect of the story. Wasn't expecting Kurumi to be able to move but each scene of him moving was precious. I really wanted to stab her manager every time he appeared in one of the panels!!

this was a great way to kick off awcc's book club reading room

score: 9/10

This was a really cute manga.
It exceeded my expectations with how well the characters were written, despite being a single volume. The couple was not only adorable, but believably developed, I'm not a fan of the "love at first sight" trope, and I loved that it wasn't it, like I expected, but it was more related to a character and psychological affinity, as well as sharing the same hobby.
There were also several highly relatable scenes and others that moved me. I have to say that the chapter about Yuki's work - before her change - was claustrophobic and seeing how it evolved made me feel physically better!

Overall score: 8/10

Really wasn't sold during the first few chapters, but once I hit chapter 5, I knew this was going to be something special. So happy for Yumi in the end. What a sweet story. 8/10.

I almost never read slice of life stories but i really loved this one.
The fmc and mmc was both likable, and Kurumi was sooooo cute.
I sometimes felt like i will tear up but in the end I didnt.
Gave it a 9!

Was cute and had a more unique premise. Definitely good if one wants something short for in-between. Just wished that it had taken a bit more time to show the development of the relationship between Yumi and Shirayuki until they got married.

That was cute and wholesome. I'm glad Yumi learned to love herself and also found someone (and something) who loves her for who she is. 7/10

So nice to read.

There's so much packed in this little story about picking up again passions once forgotten. Subtle, heartfelt and very good at making you feel the importance of life's simple pleasures. A pleasure to read even with the heavier topics that were there.

While I'd love for more of it, I really think that it being so short is part of its charm.

Edit : Lovely badge, rage!

This really was wholesome.
Liked it a lot and shed a tear here and there.

For a moment I thought Kurumi would pull a Toy Story, but I'm glad it didn't happen.
