really good and cute and wholesome vibes.
i would def recommend this to anyone who likes the romance genre.

my only complaint is that the episodes felt a little repetitive towards the end

yeah... they could've showed us more finale type of moments and also how they end up together ... like a foreshadowing. That theme whenever takeo and rinko were together was played is still refreshing to hear.

I liked it. It's cute and sweet and honestly gave me a wholesome vibe, but for me, it gets really, really boring. I think it's even staler than Oregairu, which is honestly one of the most boring romances I've seen (don't get me wrong, I'm a massive Yui fan). But for both of these animes, I often had times where I had to force myself to watch the next episode, instead of feeling the drive to want to watch more.

Nowhere close to the level of romcoms like Horimiya, More than a married couple but not lovers, Kaguya-sama, or romances like Bloom into you and ReLIFE.

Of course, it's just my opinion, and not everyone's tastes are the same, but as a big romcom fan who's watched quite a bit of romcom animes, the show definitely wasn't up to par compared to some others.

Your opinion is also valid. I respect that. Well I think I had pretty good time with it. Also Oragairu is really kinda boring as you said.

it depends on the vibe you're going for.
- if you want romance/ tragedy - watch "Clannad."
- If you want to find true beauty and appreciation for life , watch "Your lie in April."
- if you want something wholesome without any stress of tragedy - this is your anime.
personally, it's my favorite romance anime second only to "Your lie in April"

bro why hate on oregairu? i mean ik it's not for everyone but seruously, saying Horimiya is better? character development is lacking compared to oregairu(saying as someone who's read both, oregairu light novel and horimiya manga)

I've read the mamga and it's good. interms of character development and storytelling it's OK. but sometimes I felt why am I watching this. Well I won't say I didn't enjoy it. I've felt some moments were pretty good. Story tells us something that we all should remember. Well guess its really based on opinion.

Personally one of favorite rom-coms as well. It's a really chill and laid-back romance, which I really enjoy watching every now and then. A definite reccomend for anyone.

Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series, both Japanese Sub & English Dub, then judge each anime based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating.

Horimiya is better because it kept me wanting to watch more and has so much more humor. Besides, I'm a big Yui fan, so the ending was pretty garbage too.

To be honest, disliking Oregairu was a pretty hard decision on my part since I absolutely adore Yui. I completely understand your opinion, I know most people enjoyed the show, and Hachiman is often seen as one of the most relatable MCs in anime. But it just wasn't for me, I just didn't enjoy it as much as I'd initially hoped I did, which took me a while to get used to since disliking the anime of one of my favorite characters was not an enjoyable thing to do lmao

totally get it, i needed to rewatch it 3 times yo ge tot like it...
honeslty iwas in a similar boat as you, iw as 12 therefore i couldn't really get the show and found it boring. i'm not calling you less inteligent, i'm saying it takes more takes to really get into it, there are many such anime(one piece, steins;gate) that take more turns to enjoy them

Many of ppl are repelled by looks of guy, but that aside anime was really good and funny, plus romance aspect and characters were really good. Got confessions and kisses, this is underrated tbh not in rating but no one mentions this to often but its worth mentioning

I would say no on the basis that I dropped it. To me it just felt like any other shoujo except with the mc being way taller than your average mc. I was definitely not the target demographic so that explains a lot. The female lacks much personality at all minus being a shy simp for mc kun.

Definitely top tier. I think its the characters that make this one if the best romances. Also mire funny than many others. I think the story loses some energy toward the end and could have used more of a Finale. That is a common issue when the couple gets together early in the season. horimiya has a similar trajectory where its harder to maintain the story after the couple gets together (Still, i prefer that to stories where you are 4 seasons in and the couple still won’t get together). Good examples of stories that maintain quality even after the couple get together are Clanad and Bunny Girl Sempai.

It's a great romance anime but definitely not the best. The ending just felt repetitive and was lack luster. They definitely could have done more with it but it's still 15 for sure

I wouldn’t put it in my top 20 romcoms. There are definitely much better out there. It’s okay, just not stellar. More run of the mill. I’m trying to decide if it makes my top 50, still not in top 35 for sure though.
