If you liked the remake of Urusei Yatsura, you'll probably enjoy the remake of Ranma 1/2 that coming out. The author for their manga is the same lady and is considered the Prince of manga and also created InuYasha. Ranma is also the progenitor of the Harem genre, though the wish fulfillment side of that genre wouldn't come for another decade or however long it was between Ranma and Love Hina.

I have watched old Ranma and had a good time with it. The trailer for the remake had me laughing not because there was something particularly funny about it but because it made me remember stuff from the anime and started a laughing fit. Hope this sells you on it.
