THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
The second episode of Dragon Century started out totally different than the first with a futuristic setting involving dragon tournaments. It reminded me of the game Dragonseeds for PS1. These fights were really brutal, but the red dragon Vermillion fought nonlethally. Later it was confirmed that he was the dragon Carmine from the first episode and went to fight the resurrected demons. I loved when he said that he had sworn to protect the blue sky long ago in honor of a young girl. This one was less trashy and could have been more of a shonen series if it had been more than one episode.

In the end, I was rather disappointed. Humans using dragons to fight in arenas for money? That's just sick, and inhumane.

I guess I should've avoided this anime after all.

I think this episode felt too rushed or something.
Not only is the ending an annoying "cliffhanger" but I wish we had a lot more explanation about the fake dragon demon or why the world is now like this.
