| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Oh boy, that last frame of Poseidon's weird grin totally just ruined his character for me. That completely changed his character's personality. Now I don't want him to win. Sasaki's technique's weakness is the fact that it doesn't work as well against opponents that he hasn't fought before, so Poseidon has the advantage. Additionally, while Sasaki can read moves well, Poseidon is as unpredictable as the tides of the ocean, so the ability is limited against him. We now know who his Valkyrie is and that she is his sword, so her multi-persnality disorder will probably have some relevance to the fight. Honestly, the whole fight is a little stupid when Poseidon could just drown him, though I guess the same could be said for Zeus technically being able to strike his opponent down with lightning, yet not doing so. Perhaps Poseidon will try drowning him later, or perhaps it's a matter of pride. |

| The tale of the greatest loser in history and the strongest among the gods is still in its making. Kojiro and his past intrigued me so much. The way he used to fight his battles with his opponents after losing multiple times against them and then not showing them anything, just moving forward surpassing them. He fought every strong opponent in his way just to lose and then, later on, surpass them. Kojiro anticipates every one of Poseidon's moves until the last one where he finally got a wound. And, Poseidon being cocky as ever not talking to humans and calling Kojiro a loser. I hope Kojiro teaches him a serious lesson with his experience. |

| Sasaki's backstory is sure a weird one with all his losses, but he sure still seems to be an very though opponent with his mental abilities to train, well of course Poseidon also isn't an easy one especially with what he did at the very end |

| Sasaki Kojiro's backstory was marvelous. Best backstory so far. Poseidon is no joke, but I believe that Sasaki Kojiro will be able to perform miracle and win this fight somehow. Fingers crossed for that to actually happen! |
| I found Sasaki’s backstory very interesting minus the blind guy seeing everything. Hope the Valk is relevant in some way to this fight. Guessing Sasaki will win but not sure how there really wanting us to hate Poseidon. |
| Sasaki Kojiro's backstory accounted for around 16min of the episode, it felt like the typical underdog shounen style except losing at every turn of his life. A lot of characters developed in the flashback never to be seen again as well. Poseidon is probably my least favorite god character so far, he radiates some strong c*nt energy. Ultimately though, I think Poseidon will win this one. |
| Kojiro's a really awesome character. I'm surprised people dislike having episodes spent on backstories of character we don't know cause I feel some of the fun is seeing this series' take on these historical or mythical legends. This isn't Fate. During his backstory, I realized why these are the two fighting each other, it initially didn't theme like it could be thematically clashing, but it's to show a man who was completely one with his understanding of nature, to a god who's beyond nature. Was weird however also interesting seeing this side of Poseidon, guess it's the first time he's ever felt challenged by the essence of someone.  Favourite shot of the episode.  And my second. Each human has been really cool.  Wow. |

| I like Sasaki and I continued watching after Adam because of him, but... I just don't see Poseidon losing. (Netflix skipped the ending song to move on to the next ep. I got pissed off and went back to the prev ep for the ed song lol! It is just so majestic. <3) |

| I think we can all agree that even without the Valkyries transforming into their weapons, these humans already have supernatural powers lol. Also, the only reason these fights are close is because these gods for some reason don't use their powers that are not physical. Like Zeus didn't use his thunder powers, now Poseidon is only using his trident, why don't he use his powers of the sea? |
