I thought the moral of this story would be Sawako learning that while friends are important, her family loves her even more. Family comes first on occasions like this. But I think it's important to remember that the significance of Christmas is different in Japan as it is in Christian countries where leaving your family to spend Christmas having a pissup with your mates is almost unthinkable. There are other more important festivals in their calendar which are more sacrosanct. It's pretty much just an another excuse for parties, food and presents over there. |

| I expected zero negativity for this episode but it seems I was quite mistaken. okay we get that her dad is roling is stupid but he is supposed to be like that that's been known since his first appearance if you had missed this its clearly your fault, moving on to Sawako was just pure blessing for my eyes and brain this episode just melted everything along away. |
| I just cried from someone getting a fucking flip phone. Really though, I'm so happy the episode ended the way it did. Not a big bang, but a really soft moment instead. |

| How stupid Sawako's father can be? You simply do not sneek in her room and touch a Christmas present unless she gives it to you personally. That was rude, he put her in an awkward situation. I lost my braincells during that scene. |

| Man this episode is hard to watch, her father is kinda annoying yet very kind. I don't blame anyone tho, Sawako is too kind for her own good. But I am still happy that she choose her parent over her friend |

| @BritishBlitz87 I agree with this. I'd never spend Christmas or Thanksgiving with my friends. Those Holidays are family only. Same with Easter actually. Though cultures are different, so we have to respect it. |
