First thread I’ve ever done I just wanted to let it be known that people shouldn’t sleep on this story, ai and technology are usually just used as aesthetics in most stories regarding this topics but this is one of the few stories that gets it’s hands dirty and actually delves into the ethical dilemmas of mixing technology with humans and the effect it has on our understanding of what it means to be human or have individuality. Obviously as in most cases the authors own bias guided the narrative and I’d say this story sides more on the optimist side but it still is more interesting than 90% of the anime being released now a days talking about ai or technology.

I just try to read the firsts 3 chapters of every adaptation and from what i saw from this manga i personally liked it but my only worry is that it felt a bit too episodic and like it was not going to have a overarching plot. So far i feel i didn't really learn a lot from the protagonist and rather just kinda experienced his interactions with his patients from his pov, we do see glimpses of personality like how he doesn’t like self driving cars and prefers driving himself but i like that the autor made him kinda low key so they let us reach our own conclusions without being spoon fed how to feel about it with too many of the protagonists own opinions.

Your explanation about the subject matter only makes me more intrigued. I don’t know anything about this series, but in my opinion, I personally don’t mind the story being somewhat episodic. From what I’ve read from your opinion and the plot, the world seems pretty set and is the norm of its society. Nothing can’t really be fixed despite possible politics surrounding it. The main drive feels to lie on the citizens/patients themselves living in the world heavily controlled by artificial intelligence. I like the idea of it following the doctor’s perspective on the multiple patients he encounters instead of having an overarching plot. He can encounter many different types of patients, each one having their own backstory and experience with how AI effects their daily lives in a positive or negative way. Again, I haven’t read the manga, but I can see this working well if executed properly.
I’m going to give this series a try once it comes out most definitely. The concept and ideas are very interesting in comparison to other series that try to adapt AI or highly advanced technology.
