| Ruby's little showcase really was striking. But Akane being the goat she is, caught on to the purpose of the audition. Now I'm kinda unsure about who's gonna get the role. But at the same time I still think Ruby is gonna get it. Need to see Ruby's reaction fast but break next week. Anyway episode 1 is already airing in Japan. It's Oshi no Ko szn. |

| I think this is one of the few times, if not the first time, we really got into Sarina's headspace. I wonder if she thinks of her self as a fraud. |

| Ruby resembles Ai the most as her child, but I think Akane is able to get into Ai's mind better, since even now, Ruby is wondering how Ai felt. I think Akane would give a more authentic performance, whereas Ruby might look more convincing as Ai to the general audience. It's just the matter of preference then, there's no right or wrong choice. I personally prefer Akane due to her actually having accurately psychologically profiled Ai, and thus able to become Ai. That being said, I can see Ruby doing a good job, too, since people also like diamonds in a rough. It's a bit more predictable imo to have Ruby be casted because of the resemblance and being Ai's daughter, though. I don't think her performance in this chapter was better than what Akane did, although it was her being vulnerable and her take on Ai's inner thoughts. But I'm not sure if that's what the role calls for to portray. |
| The first time Akane got the star eyes is one of my favorite moments from this manga. I feel like Ruby getting the part is too predictable but I honestly don't know what to expect at this point. |

| i finally caught up to the manga hehe. all 3 are pretty solid candidates tbf. akane has her whole aura feeling different though, she caught on to what was going on real quick. |

| Akane says that the audition is Frill's plan to make Ruby the lead of the movie, a way to rule out the second candidate from taking the role of Ai. Frill's reaction to Akane's bold statement convinces us that this might indeed be the case, but Oshi no ko is known to make unexpected plot twists so we can't be very sure. As usual, the double-page spread is full of emotions, it enthralls us with Ruby's performance and is a good way to keep the reader focused on the content being served.  |

| Wow, the starry eyes here are like Conqueror's Haki. Everyone's getting some of it. Still, both these performances were way better than Frill. Plus Ruby was actually not acting for once. |

| ai, aqua and ruby had to go all through the sh*t they went through to get the "deceptive" eyes but akane can do it in a flick of a switch. she is a godly actress indeed. |

| Akane rlly just proved who's the definite masterclass when it comes to acting. Obviously, she's going to lose plot wise, but I won't mind someone like Akane winning the role of Ai. |
