So how do you feel that Pokeshipping never happened even in the end? Misty fans how do you feel?

Ash and Team Rocket will probably be brought back eventually for a future movie or special due to promotion or nostalgia at some point. But Misty and Brock parted ways with Ash again in the last episode, likely so the writers don't have to bring them back with him when they choose to give Ash something in the future.

So the last episode might very well be the final time Misty ever appears in this incarnation of the anime. In the end, Pokeshipping didn't happen. People spent 25+ years of their lives and then 20 years after Misty left at the end of Johto in 2002 hoping for Misty to, "declare her love for Ash." Many petitions were made, lives were lost, and people had mental breakdowns on forums in the early 2000's because of it. Some people have never quite recovered from those times.

How do you feel all these years later? I guess AAML never did become canon. I guess 25+ years of Pokeshipping fanfics and fanart didn't really convince the writers to canonize it. Oh well. No use crying over spilt milk however, people can support it in fanon and same for other shippers like Amourshippers and everyone else.

The producers said back in the 00s that they intentionally removed any romance other than fanservice from the show, as they wanted to focus on the power of friendship and becoming Pokémon masters, not ships. If you want, you can fantasize about it, however.

Bitter but I gave up on anything of substance happening with the pokemon anime years ago. It's anime is literally bottom of the barrel, even for a kids franchise.

Still the closest canon ship for ash though. It at least had effort put into it before they decided to endlessly drag the series out to the point it became soulless as the recent games.

Nope, there are people on twitter who are still to this day making Ash/Misty fanart and being upset they never got together. Most of these people are 30+ year olds now and all stopped watching when Misty left back in 2002.

They basically spent 20 years obsessing over something that, even when Misty actually was a main character, was only ever a very minor thing. The Pokemon anime as a whole was never about shipping.
