The stupidity of the public in MHA is next level among any form of fiction. They cry about human rights; thus AfO (a genocidal maniac that wreck havoc for many generations) took a free vacation via their tax money. Hawk kills a villain, they moan even harder. But when Shigaraki wipes a whole city, they cry about heroes not doing their job. AfO touches grass, they want heroes to quit their job.

They don't deserve to be saved.

But the heroes save them anyway.

i mena it is a pretty realistic scenario, I can imagine that people in our world would act the same.
Mostly because they are scared for they lives.
I am not saying it is a good reaction but we'll that whole lives was turned up side down, and the system that the beloved in crumbled so I am not really surprised they act like that.
Like someone once said most of the people are either bad or good, if you think do they deserve to be saved? you should also consider a question do they deserve to die ?

I mean most of it is because people haven't seen this since the origin of quirks which happened decades ago villains have attacked before all might's era but nothing on this scale, This completely changes how people look at heroes because for the first time in a long time they've failed to save people and that really shook the people, The heroes they idolize weren't successful and their current number 1 hero's past being leaked to the public made it even worse, As for hawks killing a villain i could be misremembering but i don't think heroes kill often so that would obviously scare people since it goes against how people view heroes, Maybe a bit exaggerated sure but i think a lot of it is believable.

Not really but honestly, the heros would probably lose their purpose without people to help or save

Yeah? That's point of the concept of a hero. You don't save only those who you like. You save everyone without discrimination. And civillians always deserve saving. Its like fire fighters leaving someone to burn because the guy was an asshole lmao.

Civillian reaction is not even weird or bad tbh. They are scared and expect protection. They want the heroes to come up with a better plan without risking their lives.

Hell No.
The can get fucked all over IMO.

The heroes are doing everything, getting hurt, being at the verge of death, sleepless nights, loosing family and friends and the nerve! of them to criticize our beloved heroes.

They all have powers, very few people don't have any at all so of they're not willing to protect themselves they shouldn't cry when someone else almost dies trying to.

Well i guess the people had a hard time empathizing with Deku since they don’t know his story like we do. But tbh what i hated the most about them was that they normalized heroes sacrificing their life for the sake of citizens πŸ’€

I totally think that they deserve to be saved. Their reaction is totally reasonable. They are scared for life and full of stress. I don't think they are even annoying because I see this happening in the real world. And the show is all about what being a hero truly is. Being a hero is saving people even when they don't want to be saved. Midoriya even wants to save Shigaraki after all. They are heros. They can't just not save someone because they don't like that person. At least for me, saving people even when they don't want, helping even when we don't like that person or open their eyes because we just don't want nobody to suffer and help them finding redemption is what makes people truly heros. The desire for happiness and peace on ourselfs and in the others, just that. Is what make people heros.

Yes , I too agree. Their stupidity is on next level, they are just selfish and they're mad at heroes for killing a villain and now it looks they don't even care about deku's life or heroes who lost their lives ,they just want blame the heroes for everything.

They desserve a nice time with Shiguraki.  If the heroes did stop saving the civillians they would not be heroes though.

As a person who works in healthcare I know for a fact that people can be very ungrateful or unreasonable whenever things don't slightly go their way. This all comes from fear which I think was portrayed brilliantly in the latest episode. Whenever people are in fear, all they care about is themselves. They won't always remember all the other "good" or "just" things you did for them. I don't think that this is stupidity. I just think that this is a very emotional and human way of reacting.

Although how the humans are acting in MHA could happen in any place in our would we have to remember that that MHA is made by a japanese man who grew up in japan. Japanese have their blame culture where someone who bother others might be blamed even if that person is actually a victim of something and that's why they are "bothering" others.

During the covid outbreak, there was some news of japanese people complaining about healthcare workers saying they were the ones spreading covid. Like...what? Those people were risking their lives by getting infected in order to treat people, but a bunch people still complained about them? In many other countries people were actually thanking these healthcare workers in a very visible fashion (a saw the news of few countries doing this), some people in japan were to busy with themselves to  even consider how others were feeling.

Those people in this last MHA episode were just like that and they pissed off so much that i made me realize i wouldn't be able to be a hero there.
I despise woke people.

I kinda take it as the public being coddled by heroes too much and normalizing people sacrificing their limbs (literally) for civilian safety. You have people get used to peace and they feel like they're entitled to it, it's how human brains adapt to their environment... the entire anger at heroes is basically a tantrum born from fear and denial - "I'm used to the heroes doing everything, they're not like me, I'm just human". And then you have those that straight up go yolo with their own quirks. As much as I don't like a lot of BNHA's political and societal side, this is a reasonable byproduct of a superhuman society with fucking heroes as a part of the justice system. So well... who knows, maybe we would act a similar way in the same situation. They might all act like asses, but a human life is a human life. As a person in healthcare, I'm used to the mentality of saving a life comes before your personal feelings or the moral standing of the person that's in danger.

Although I really don't get why they were so fucking scandalized over Hawks killing Twice, seeing how many civillians got slaughtered during that entire arc. Like get your priorities straight, man! That was too much even for my hopium and tolerance-filled ass.

No. They got saved a lot of times, yet heroes lose ONE TIME and now the publice treats them like shit. They are complaining about everything, and boss the heroes around IN THE FUCKING SHELTER, like they own the place. Fuck them.

yes. those shits were raised to be saved. guess what? just like real life, this animes real evil is politicians. they literally created hero society as means of control. those lower trash powers become normies and get jobs. thats how that world is run. afo just wants to be the one in charge instead. hes no worse than all the other politicians.
