| THIS IS A LIGHT NOVEL ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS VOLUME. ---------------------------------------- The Eminence in Shadow. Our protagonist's sole desire is to become a shadowbroker, the true mastermind who is lurking in the darkness dealing with problems unknown for most people. Shadow Garden is the name of his underground organization. Together with his subordinates girls whom he saved from the grueling magic possession, they are facing against The Cult of Diablos and their mission is to prevent them from resurrecting the Great Calamity waiting upon the world............................. Or is it?! F*ck no!! This guy is just having delusions about this archenemy organization and whatnot. Shadow Garden, The Cult of Diablos, and the impending calamity upon them??? Bullsh*t! He's just having a fun with his new isekaied life where he can play as a shadowbroker to his heart content.................. Wait a minute... Are you telling me that The Cult of Diablos and all of his BS are actually real?! ---------------------------------------- Haha, well. That's basically how you should treat Cid Kagenou. He's imagining about The Cult of Diablos and his mission to defeat them from the shadows. Yes, the cult turns out to be real, his waifu army see him as an all-knowing being and do all they can to help their lord with his cause. The thing is... Even Cid himself seems to not aware that his delusional archenemy organization are actually real at all. 🤣 "Hmm... My sister is kidnapped by bandits." (Take a look at the map and... SNAP!) He throws his knife at a random point on the map. And it turns out to be the bandits hideout which kept his sister hostage after all! His subordinates: "Sasuga, Shadow-sama!" You can treat it like Overlord. At one time, you don't know whether you should treat him seriously. And at another, you will see that his chuuni delusions are becoming real. It's an action series, yes. But it's also a quite fun comedy to read with lovely characters (luv you Gamma!). Although I need to give you a heads up on the breakneck pacing at the start of the novel. It might turn you off as I previously did. But as a self-admitted holier-than-thou reader (as I have finished reading the volume, of course), I can say that it gets better shortly later. After the prologue's breakneck pace, you will see where this novel and Cid's shenanigans will go. |

| This is an interesting volume so far and I have found similarities with the protagonist that gave me an alternative universe I could continue to read along with the head. Also, I like the protagonist's own motivation and the characters aka his subordinates are valuable for more adventures to come. |
