Currently, Bleach has around 130 million copies worldwide. Do you think TYBW anime will help to boost it into 150 million copies or even 200 million copies?

I mean I guess, i could see the sales going to 150m because of people who are impatient and when it leaves off at a cliffhanger so yeah i think it’ll go up to 150m heavily doubt 200m tho
Please read mamaYuYu, its amazing. Also MAPPA employees havent seen their families since 2021 lmao

I think this new anime has reignited some love for bleach again in some fans and it has definitely introduced bleach to a new audience. Bleach has plenty of volumes and people like me are still collecting them so I can see it potentially go towards the 150 million sale milestone.
If you enjoyed the time you wasted, then its not a waste of time.

They're not reprinting the normal volumes, they're reprinting the 3-in-1 japanese editions where 74 vols will be collected in like 26 volumes, and they're going to be releasing the reprints like once every 2 weeks. I believe next week should release volume 4 then 2 weeks after that volume 5 etc. they're not in a hurry.

i still do not get where you all get this news so any link will be helpful even so if that is true then maybe they are expecting some anime boost after all but so far no big boost yet for the manga sales

You can go and follow Kubo's twitter for the news. They will post when the 4th volume reprints are released.

i cant see it selling it millions, it isn't even getting sales after 5 weeks of the anime. I think the people who want to know the ending or read on probably read it 10 years ago when it stopped airing. The gap in anime airing definitely hurt sales

it will boost sales but not to that degree, its hard to kick start a franchise who went dormant for a decade

Most people might just read digital coloured comics of bleach. It is trending in most manga sites

For the English market, all the box sets were reprinted before the anime in the months prior or the week of in English Box Set 2’s case. This was alongside all the English singles getting a similar treatment

The anime may increase manga sales, most of it is hard to discern from the massive increase in popularity of manga, especially in the west. So while reprints were expedited due to the anime releasing and special volumes like the special volume 1 exist, it’s hard to say it will reach goals like that. The manga is in high demand, as seen from the insane scalping of Box Sets 2 and 3 prior to their reprints in the month’s leading up to the anime, it’s hard to say if this is just from the anime or if it is also the strain the industry has had since 2020 and the boom in collecting manga.

I don't see the anime boosting the existing volumes (As in, the current 74 volumes and its reprints) sales that much. However, I see it as some excellent publicity and hype starter for future Tite Kubo projects. A continuation of Burn the Witch and a possible new serialization of Bleach to expand on the story started with the No Breathes From Hell one shot come to mind.
If we see volumes from these works, I bet they'll sell better than if they were just published without the existence of this anime.

Very difficult for that to happen.

Usually, very old series hardly have any boosts.

Reading the special one shot from a few years ago can easily lead one to such a conclusion.
