I really hope they'll bring back the OG cast, I feel like they are going to change the story to focus on the new idols only

It’s hard to give the OG any sort of development, we need 2 seasons of 24 episodes and that’s not enough to give any of the 39 idols enough development, and especially there are 4 mangas, so base on the manga, there are 8 more characters who have just as many development as the main trio.

It’s hard to give the OG any sort of development, we need 2 seasons of 24 episodes and that’s not enough to give any of the 39 idols enough development, and especially there are 4 mangas, so base on the manga, there are 8 more characters who have just as many development as the main trio.

Yeah I expect that the OG cast won't have a lot of development, and that similarly to Cinderella Girls anime it will be focused on 10-15 characters, but I'm hoping that the OG cast will at least make some appearances, as the majority of the cast of CG did.

I expect the original cast to have small supporting roles throughout the series, while the focus is on the new girls. I think if they were to put the original cast in a mentorship role like they did in the movie, it would be really heartfelt and great. The Million Live manga is already a good example of how they would balance the big cast and also bring in the original members from time to time.

Exactly what I was thinking ! I really hope something like that will happen, Haruka's role in the movie was so good and something similar would be great.

I'm totally with you, that was one of my favorite parts of the movie, so I think it would be great for fans to have at least 1-2 moments for everybody from the OG series, but with a cast this big some screentime sacrifices will naturally have to be made. I hope this series is 2-cour at least so it gives everyone time.
