Just finished seeing this with my wife and quite a few people left when the credits started rolling. I'm not spoiling anything but I'll say it's worth the wait. My first time seeing a subbed anime movie in theaters. Best bday present ever!!!

I'll spoil it without spoiling it. Just like in the 3rd season, there is "that" time skip that happens and it happens in the movie post first credits.

I know exactly what you mean by "that" and that's freaking cute that they rounded it out that way lol! I very much appreciate it, I feel better. If they drop a Blu-Ray for it, I'll buy that and see it in full.

I do really hope that there's still a chance for season 4. The season 3 is like a teaser for more romantic scenes.

If anything, they wrapped up the middle school years just fine. What they really need to do adapt the spin-off manga before considering a 4th season set during high school.

I'm baffled with how much closure we got. Season 1 was notorious, to a degree, for a lack of character and story progression. You know the emphasis was on the episodic gags. That seemed to be the intention of the franchise. Season 2 came around and we got the same deal. It was certainly appealing, but you know...

Season 3 came around and blew the prior two seasons out of the water. I was baffled with how much happened in Season 3, and it felt very rewarding. But I had absolutely no idea how this (allegedly) "final" film was gonna wrap things up, and if they'd do it in a satisfying manner.

I'n honestly not disappointed. Pre-credits, I would've been fine and considered it a fitting end to the animated show at that point. But they really REALLY caught me off guard with that post-credit scene. I totally wasn't expecting it. I can imagine the squealing emitted from what little people remain in the theater after the credits.

I'm aware of the spin-off manga... you have to wonder if there's a possibility that they'll adapt it into an anime. I think that's far more likely than a Season 4 of the show as it is. I certainly wouldn't complain. But I'll reiterate that I'm personally satisfied with the closure provided in the film. It's open-ended enough but also makes it apparent how much (mainly) Nishikata has grown as a character.

All around very satisfying. 10/10 movie. 11/10 post-credit sequence.
