| These last several chapters have just been sad. I applaud the mangaka for attempting to incorporate as many, if not all, the cast established for the series in the final stretch, giving the more prominent ones like Ginchiyo and Naotora some cool ending moments, but it's all so quick that none of it feels like it matters. I like to imagine a world where Doron Dororon isn't clamped in the guillotine, and we got a few more years to get further invested in these characters, or to give more focus to the battles featured here. Though on the other hand, Doron Dororon's action has always been it's weakest part imo, so I guess in a positive spin I'm glad these battles are quicker. I don't think the action here is very good even on quick spectacle to be honest, I often haven't found the flourishes here that legible but that could be a me problem. This chapter was a bit better than the previous ones just due to be more focused, but I wouldn't really call it good. It's a shame, but it seems Doron Doron isn't ending with it's best foot forward. |
