Lol, character reactions were gold this episode. Now that they've passed, the road gets even harder with their work. They're part of a professional team now with more experienced doctors and healers.

Imo, this was also one of the most important episodes so far as the main trio demonstrated the extent of their singing and healing skills. It's their best performance so far too imo.

Probably the most entertaining episode so far. I loved their performance.

All those facial expressions were hilarious.

The trio of girls have passed their provisional exams to earn their healer licenses, though not a full-fledged one that's just enough for assistance work.

The first official job for them, and it's music sung during surgery operations in a hospital that prefers healer music than recorded ones. Not surprised that the girls would freak out at the sight of blood, but if this is "one giant step for mankind" for them, it'll do through "training" of splatter films that are just oh-so-comedic with their stoic comedy gold reactions.

Dr. Mizore Ando isn't the kind of practitioner that Kana was thinking of, much less her being friends with Ria and Shoko. There'll be naysayers about people not accepting healing music (like the surgeon-in-charge Dr. Kenji Nibeyama), and the only way to prove to him is for the girls to sing their heart out throughout the operation to make sure everything goes smoothly, trouble or otherwise.

This is their first job, but an all-important episode for the series' foundation going forward. This show just continues to impress, and to great degree.

Best training sequence ever!

Feels odd that they're healer, even if singing ones, and yet don't like blood.

Shoko-san to the "rescue".

I am liking this show a hell of a lot more than what I expected.

Well nibeyama won’t be doubting the power of singing anymore that’s for sure. Really proud of Kana for overcoming her fear of blood and literally saving the day.

The art and aesthetic of this show is just so beautiful. Just love how cute the girls look. Hidden gem of the season for sure

I was worried the moment that the patient was able to hear the girls singing . That looked like a sign of some bad anesthesiologist in action. Seeing that looked like a general anesthesia op

Great episode! Kana, Reimi and Hibiki all were very scared watching that splatter film xD.
And wow, I did not expect that sudden bad situation whilst the doctors were operating but the girls managed to keep everyone calm and have improved greatly!

Looking forward to the next episode!

Their reactions to blood were hilarious.

The facial expressions were great, super funny, while they still lack the experience to aim their singing at multiple people it was a great idea to divide and help the patient and and help relax the doctors.

Are you seriously making this show score below than 7? Is that because unpopular seiyuu case? Or it just singing issue?

Idk how to say, this show is really good and enjoyable just like other gems in this season. Animation also worth to watch.

This time the trio are singing together to help during surgery proccess. There is one of them that turns into gore enjoyer already hahaha.

Damn this episode was pretty good, the idea of having them sing during a surgery was actually crazy.

For a supposedly low budget anime it sure did have some good animation.
I wasn't expecting much from this series, but this and last episode were actually pretty fun, and if they continue with these crazy ideas then I might really enjoy it more.

It seems next is a beach episode or something....

Its neat that the girls were given such a perilous task at such an early stage in their healer careers, Reimi is shaping up to be a great leader and the trio a great team~!

The horror movie segment was priceless, they looked spooked after it all aw

Kana mentioning that the hospital has changed quite a lot, wouldn't be surprised if she was a child who spent a lot of time in there

The surgery segment was amazing, the girls tried their best and lived up to expectation yay

Beach episode next time oo~!

Imagine being a newbie that comes along to learn a new chill experience from the first job action, but ended up with a bad scenario like that. Its must be horrifying and that's why if i am there, i can't even handle the responsibility to keep calm and go on like what they did there. So yeah, good job, girls!

Wrong move, panicked, and then couldn't decided what next, but thanks the assistant actually the more senior doctor. Thats why you don't underestimating everything, even to the little girl like them, sensei...

Pretty well tension vibe, and the visual still as strong as they could to depict the horror. This is not the little step anymore. That's a truly a big leap toward the whole new career of them. Then, welp, seems like the next will be a break for all the tension of this episode. So, hell yeah, lets go!

that young doctor is lucky. His first operation would have been a disaster if the girls were not there to sing for him.

also, it looks like there are two songs being done at the same time when they were singing?

how the guy suddenly grabbed their car as they were going home almost feels like a jump scare. lol

I fucking love this show. It's amazing how this show can be wholesome, intense, dramatic, but also be hilarious as hell. Because I definitely did not expect this show to be so funny, like the last episode and some parts of this episode.

I got anxiety though when they started the operation, that pregnant lady really gave me some ptsd lmao. But alas, they did well. I don't think I am a good judge of singing ability, but I just gotta say that their voices are so good personally.

Surgeon man didn't have to jump in front of a car just to say thank you though lmao. Really looking forward to the next episode.

While the first half is great and all with all the funnies, the second half really sells this show to me. the girls being inexperienced really help brings the tension of the scene up. And even though the show is about singing = healing, it still has some realism like the girls getting tired after singing and needing to switch around in order to keep the song playing.
That's an absolutely great detail that I just love.

There's also the fact that there are some people who are against or not really trusting the whole "my singing voice can heal people" thingy which I didn't really expect tbh. That's a plot point I like as well.

Overall, this anime really is on the road of becoming my favorite anime this season.

I wasted all my time in rewatching to the point of my rewatch total is higher than my overall anime total lmao

Finally an actually more interesting use of their singing with actual potential consequences of failure.

Their expressions from watching gory horror movies is priceless especially it being included in a title card so casually lol

How the surgeon acted in the end was weird. I mean he looked angry jumping the car but thanked them. I guess his ego was hurt but wanted to show gratitude anyway to humble himself.

Tirinchas said:

She did.

This is an actual thing too. Ive accidentally on a few occasions sounded like an opera singer when I yawn and I dont even know how to sing.

The first big job for the girls was tense, since they had to endure the pressure of seeing blood, something that not everyone can do, that environment was heavy but they managed to overcome it and they were grateful for it, a great advance.

Poor Girls

They'll be having nightmare for life.

___ ___ ___

Hmm, looks like the singing doesn't actually "heals" physical damage that much.

As of now, all the Healing besides the first knee scrap are all "singing to calm people down."

This episode literally just have them calming down everyone so they can focus on making precision procedure.

___ ___ ___

As for the rating, the series isn't that popular cause it's not actual singing, it's more or less regular dialogue that's disguised as singing. Some ppls doesn't like that, especially if they're actual music/ idol/ band fans.

Other thing is the series is more comedy than music, even tho there's a lot of singing.

And TBH... before I started watching ep 1, I thought this series was a Fantasy World slice-of-life adventure of girls traveling and healing people as "healers" from "RPG". I did not expect it to be a normal (our) World in the 1990s or so but with singing magic.

I'm definitely in love with this series!
It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

Looks like the girls managed to persevere through the surgery. Mistress didn't have to take over.

Don't know why it took me months before I finished this episode, watched the first half back in October, forgot I'd seen this episode so watched the whole thing here, even though I caught on that I'd seen this before. But yeah, like before, really amazing episode! The splatterfest is very charming, recognize most of the movies, of those series however I am quite a Saw fan so the little focus on that was fun, haha. But it's when it's at the hospital that the story really hits the pace and stakes, reaching a really satisfying, wonderful ending through the teamwork. Story's been good!
