I’d like to know what you remember had happened in this season, without looking it up! I want to see how memorable this season was for everyone else, who dared watching this sequel!
If you want to pretend as if this non existent Season ever happened, just vote and don’t bait any toxic comments, thx✌🏽

I'm not gonna be one of the people in denial, season 2 does bring at least 1 or 2 things that as a manga reader, I can respect the alternate timeline in hind sight. so since you asked, imma try to recall season 2:

running in forest, finds out pen does cool stuff, ray fights the demons, they all hang with sonju and mujika, Emma becomes an archer, mujika gives Emma the necklace that's used in the manga but NEVER IS RELEVANT in the anime smh, and they go to the shelter.

this is where everything diverges from manga. No man in shelter sadge, I think they get a call from Norman in the anime too. time skip.. they get raided but not as good as manga, then go into hiding in the city with the sun and moon (and meet blind demon). Norman reveal.

after everyone cools down about Norman, they have to decide if his plan is right, Emma talks to Ray about it, then Norman tells them about mujika. Norman raids with his boys without Emma giving the okay, the the Norman redemption happens. I personally think the Norman redemption was one of the only things that they were able to do good even tho it was different, I can appreciate both versions in that regard.

now that he's good, they go to Grace Field, meet Phil and start getting shit on by the security guys or whatever, then Isabella gets redeemed kinda poorly(I just now remembered how they show her in the jail with grandma and she tells her to find them. Sadly I can't remember if the bad guy meets the same fate as in the manga.

finally, no ones gonna forget episode 11 so I don't need to cover that rly, Emma and Ray stay, the kids leave, and there are absolutely no repercussions smh.

so in conclusion, yea I remember.

edit: just realized I'm the only one who felt like writing an essay. don't feel inclined to read this, it was mainly for myself to run it over one more time to get over it.

they changed and skipped almost everything including the best arc (goldy pond) and they finished the longest arc in the manga in 5 minutes.

"No one can rewrite the stars
How can you say you'll be mine?
Everything keeps us apart
And I'm not the one you were meant to find
It's not up to you you
It's not up to me
When everyone tells us what we can be
How can we rewrite the stars?"

Spoilers btw

Season 2 was fucking shit apart from the 2 or 3 first episodes. It's all so easy and filled with contrivances. Were as season 1 was about mind games and characters outsmarting eachother, in season too everything is handed to the characters and they basically don't have to do anything. A few examples of that are :

-Emma and Ray who just so happen to run into Norman in the middle of nowhere.

-Emma who is able to convince Norman to drop his plan of exterminating all the demons with a simple 1 minute speech, despite his hatred for them after the suffering he had to endure.

-The dumbasses who were following Norman and suffered the same pain who simply forget their desire of vengeance simply because he did.

-The little demon girl who just so happens to be named Emma, stopping Norman from killing her.

-The old demon just so happens to have found a pen years ago that not only contains crucial infornation for the kids but also the antidote for Notman's disease, lowering the stakes even further.

-The demons who seemingly forgot that Norman burned their village and decide to rush in to help the humans.

-The fact that the all the Moms betray the evil guy with no kind of buildup or scenes showing them start planning their treason.

-The final scene that is basically a powerpoint slideshow.

Basically all in all a shit season and a complete downgrade from the first one that was absolutely amazing.

In first season it was smart and realistic. I was in shock that i discovered such anime. Also character developments were great. Every character had different problems and attitude for these problems. In second season, it was to easy to guess what will happen in 2 minutes. I didn’t see Norman’s smartness, Ray’s craziness, and it is very important for me, because i loved anime for this reason. I gave 9 out of 10 to first season. 5/10 is for the second season. It could have been my fav anime but they ruined it, so saddd🤯☹️

They didn't followed the manga. Skipped all the brilliant masterpiece arcs of manga and went with their own trash storyline

The last 1/3 of the manga were already pretty trash… but they managed to make it even worse changing the premisse of the show, removing or changing the persononality and purpose of a lot of carachters, they adapted 100+ chapters in a couple of episodes and invented the rest, extreamily rushed, not even the mentioning the “promise” that was what the 2nd part of the manga was all about and is the name of the show…
Being short, the 2nd season simply did not happened, at the most was a collective delusion 😄

I remember they ruined Norman’s character by bringing him back. I still don’t understand why they did that. It just made his sacrifice in the first season meaningless.

I also remember the last episode showing a SLIDESHOW of what happened after the events of the main story instead of just giving the show a couple of more episodes.

It’s like the people that made the anime just hated it and wanted it to end as fast as possible so they drove season 2 into the ground as fast as possible

Just waiting for TPN Brotherhood lmao

I watched it as it aired and this is what I remember:

- Humans ran away
- Ended up in a forest and then underground with demons
- In an underground shelter
- Demons find them
- In a temple and they hang about that demon village for a bit
- White haired kid that died in first season is back
- Anti-demon gas or something and chaos in the village and an old man feeds his arm to a little girl but I can’t remember exactly why. I think if demons eat his blood they stop going crazy or something.
- Then they fight the demon in a research lab. Don’t remember why.
- Then there was a slideshow that I can remember about none of because how would a slideshow from over a year ago be in anyway memorable or impactful?

As an anime only I didn’t think it was particularly good but I didn’t exactly mind the show up until after that anti-demon gas was released in the village.

After that I just didn’t care what was happening or understand it and the ending was actually just offensive. I’m someone who doesn’t mind a crap ending of the rest is good but that actually ruined all of season 2 and some of season 1 for me because it was just that lazy and bad.

So, from my memory

It starts with showing the kids surviving in the wilderness, and they avoid a giant demon monster thing

Eventually they meet two humanoid demons, who teach them how to hunt, and guide them to a secrete bunker they know about thanks to the pen

They get to the bunker, NO ONE IS THERE, and they live there for a couple of months until the bunker gets raided by demons and they have to escape

They go, find a castle, live there for a bit, and one day they go into town. In town they almost get discovered by a couple of demons but get saved by Norman who is still alive, and made some friends who are way cooler in the manga

Also around this point we learn that demons are inherently animals, but they have the ability to take on properties of what they eat, so they try to eat human brains to gain the knowledge and emotional development humans have.

Turns out Norman is a little bit of a psycho now, wants to kill all the demons, but as he is burning down a village he comes to his senses, and they rescue an old blind demon whose granddaughter is named Emma (symbolism)

They decide to attack Grace Fields Farms, rescue Phil and the other kids and work through HQ to get to the portal to the human world. They get to the portal, get held up at gun point my the mothers, but the mothers turn their guns on the demons and most of the kids go to the human world (New York)

Emma, Norman and Ray stay behind with Isabelle and the girl demon they met in the forest (who it’s revealed is a god and can turn demons into the humanoid form) and we get a slide show of their adventures, one of which is Emma meeting a character who in the manga is God.

The series ends with all the Grace Fields kids coming over to the portal on the human side, to greet Emma as she comes over (how they know she’d be coming right then idk)

My guess is because the manga was coming to its end at the same time they rushed the ending. That or budgeting. I’m now reading the manga and they just missed too many important plot points and characters in their rush to finish it that it just didn’t make sense and wasn’t good.

Well even if many people dislike this anime I love it

I am a huge fan of Yuri, especially in an interspecies relationship

And to see a human girl and demon lesbian romancing was a huge delight for me

Mujika and her little wife Emma are a super cute lesbian couple

I couldn't give a single fuck about the rest of that trainwreck

The moment when CW confirmed my lesbian ship was pure magic. And I yelled YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES

So for cute lesbians, I gave it 10/10 =)

Honestly don't remember much except when the guy stabbed himself, he dropped the knife and it was clean, which was the thing I was most upset about.

Are you really so starved for representation that you're willing to ship a girl who's at most 16 with a demon who's at the very least some centuries years old?

In comparison to S1, S2 was very disappointing. Wtv made S1 a masterpiece was spoiled by the bad writing in S2.

Still watchable tho and I would love them to work on S3.

They are cartoons! Mere drawings on paper and nothing more. This is fiction after all, and I often don't care about moral preference in my anime

Mujika manny time acts like she is in Emma's age and I think they look so cute together. This she is a 1000-year-old loli demon BS I couldn't care less about, to be honest

When I watch this anime I was hoping for one thing and CW gave it to me. To have a lesbian ship in this kind of anime is often dommed to sink, but it didn't this time,,,YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES

So for ME and my PERSONAL taste, it worked out very well

I find them to be very attractive and a unique lesbian couple. Then one can wonder why you care so much and feel the need to police my lesbian ship? If you or others interpreted this fictional media differently I respect that! But I will stick to my interpretation and ship!
