I've been eyeing this OVA for over a year now. This first episode did not disappoint. It took some unexpected turns, horror and vague sci-fi and a story about growing up. There were some unusual deaths and twists. I love the dark art and all the gore, this kind of old-school trashy OVA stuff.

There were two ultra-voilent moments when two humans explode spectacularly. One via internal alien bone spikes expanding outwards and the other with some sort of body horror walking critter that felt like something out of The Thing. Two best parts of this production.

That and the hilarious amount of detail that went in to the main character being tossed head over heels backwards in her steam punk bikini with short skirt.

You can really see and appreciate the tasteful work animators put into this one, lolz. So unexpected and unnecessary.

I had been avoiding this title, due to knowing that it's a little too violent for my tastes, but I decided to watch it anyway, due to my love of dragons.

Seeing that mother dragon being killed was heartbreaking. If only those foolish soldiers knew what the real threat was.
