Yikes, more violence happening in the village. This show never forgets how dangerous their world can truly be at times.

Episode is okay but it really makes magic even more valuable in this show.

Reimeiki Thursdays!

Holy shit no wonder Saybl is so quiet. Seeing heads chopped off in front of you and mfs melting to death will definitely fuck a kid up.

Was really worried for the gang today but luckily the priest was able to get them out of a sticky situation. Gore in general was pretty high today. Arms, heads, intestines and eyeballs, wild episode.

Holdem's village population joke really turns me on. I hope I can provide him my room, and he doesn't have to worry about that problem.

I felt like the others have coerced and blackmailed Hort into making that decision, shame on them. Speaking of Hort, I feel like her, Kudo and Saybil are really useless fighters and worthless characters overall even though they are at the forefront of the series.

Except these tests and investigations, the series isn't developing much. The plot is so empty I could fill a dam.

I dont get the blood level of this anime. Like the beheading and Kudo being hit have blood, but having a arm and leg cut, is too much.

I wish someone gone for burning the dog guy by saying "Now we all know why Sorena died".

I liked it because the episode shows Saybil being kidnapped but his friends show up but they are defeated so the priest appears and amputates an arm and both legs of the kidnapper

Woah that was some great violence. lol
I really hope we are getting the full flashback eventually, it's a bit hard to believe 13 didn't try to protect his wife. The way she went out was just brutal.

Holdem bamboozled himself, not even surprised at that...

This was a weird episode, a lot of the time I was thinking "what am I even watching?" The amount of gore was pretty surprising as well, some brutal scenes.

This was the bloodiest episode yet. I mean that flashback Saybil had was insane!!! Not to mention the fight in the woods. This show gets better every time.

Holdem has come to the Witch's village to inspect the Remnant of Disaster, but he's just the same as back in the magic academy. And asking Loux to clear this incident, it's clear that she's trusted by those whom know her, as well as the witch Sorena which sacrificed her life to save Loux's.

Anywho, Holdem chasing the 4 of them out in order to lure Tyrant in, Sayb is just literally a magical powerbank for the rest, and Holt is still stuck up about the same "romantic" gestures. Laios's near-death injury meant that Uls has to prohibit Sayb from meeting him, and of course that's to say about Tyrant being let loose for a "test" of sorts.

Sayb's backstory is just a mish-mesh of bloody ambition with tons of gore, and that's to say that Sayb was unusual to begin with. It's been long to see the priest unlock his eyes the JJK Gojo way since The Grimoire of Zero, and that triggers everyone to be called on the scene to delve what happened and the implications of its defenses when danger calls. And in the spirit of safety, having the Tyrant be on their side has more negatives than positives the priest and Holt's way, but there's just no denying that tis to overcome past hurts.

The story's just going at its own direction it knows best...

I really don’t know what to feel about this series tbh.
It’s probably one of the least interesting ones I’m watching, and it’s just for the heck of it at this point

This show is fairly enjoyable and a decent enough sequel to the Grimoire of Zero. The only real problem is Saybil, who is basically a piece of shit and drags the whole show down. It's never wise to write a story with such a dislikeable character taking the lead.

...And everything turns out to be just a test again. Like clockwork. Kind of doubt at this point that the dastardly Count Evil Dad or whoever is ever going to show up, or is even aware that anything is going on. I guess at least there were some cuttings, beheadings, and Ark-Face-Meltings, not to mention one completely random dude who apparently stumbled into a beehive and was then never mentioned again, but the show's utter lack of a budget continues to tank things, though a five minute conversation Both Sides-ing serial killing to end things was probably not helping either.

If this had at least Tsubaki's budget and flair for action scenes (well, the flair it had a month ago), these episodes would have some actual fun to them. At the very least, squashing some hands into slicing up dudes could be viscerally chunky. But alas. A still with shaking camera to show how impactful the impact impacted. Pathetic, Tezuka. You have a zany party of a fanservice nuke machine, a masochistic lizard healer, and a dude who alternatively makes people orgasm or melt by touching them. You shouldn't be struggling so hard to find some kind of fantasy adventure for them to face.

8 episodes in and I'm still non the wiser what the point of this show is. the tone and story are all over the place. Tyrant gets his limbs chopped off and just lays there like he's on the beech.

where is the plot? why does the MC suck so much and why am I still watching this!

Finally bit backstory on Roux/Holdem. Surprisingly no censor on Saybil's past and that beatdown. Students improving slowly, except Saybil still that deadweight.
lol that genderswap and wolf's silly blunders.

There was a hint in the preview for episode 9 that Saybil actually seems to like/love Roux.

dumb kid: i'll kill you in one second. *one second later, dumb kid's arms and leg are broken and he's unconscious*

damnit, how stupid was that scene? why does the WORST character have the cool/interesting origin story?

ha, good point about that beheading scene. i was truly surprised by how "graphic" that scene was compared to everything else about this show

Quite the incompetence on even considering using the Tyrant in that test. Even more on Sayb thinking he helped out there by threatening the Tyrant but ended up beaten up or even worse if the Priest didn't turn up just in time.

I know there's blood and violence but never thought we see Saybil's past by seeing her mom getting beheaded right in front of him. Good thing that witch gets her punishment
by melting due to the kid's insane energy she absorbed.

Yes, Sabyl is incompetent and useless, but he is aware of this so he desires to be strong so he won't get the others drag down again. I just hope he improves as he's the most boring and dull character I've watched in a while.
