Awful timing for the courts to summon Yang for an inquiry and treating like he's some kind of war criminal. Props to Greenhorn for questioning the treatment of Yang during the inquiry and a good reason why he choose her as his adjucent.

Things are going are to change really fast when they find out that Reinhard has made a move against the Free Planets Alliance to take Iserholn back.

The Battle of the Death Stars, one of my favorite arcs in the OVA, hope they do it justice.

Gotta love how no matter how many times Yang keeps saving the Alliance's ass those corrupt politicians will always try to find some way to bring him down. They're basically self sabotaging.

I remember this part from the old OVA series. It was so frigging obnoxious and untimely. Glad to remember that Yang is handling that nonsense exceptionally well despite not being an absolute prodigy. The ulterior motives behind that hearing I can never live down properly, there are just people like that out there who have such twisted selfish priorities. It’s a tough bind right now, hopefully help won’t come too late.

They are really as nasty and corrupt as they ever were in either novels or the OVA. Tanaka didn't have much admiration for politicians in general.

Come on!!!! Why such a cliffhanger.

Yang went ahead and did the exact opposite of what his subordinates told him not to do, typical Yang. I think this is the first time we see him get angry or show emotion. I burst out laughing when he told them he was a vegetarian who would eat meet if he felt like it, what a way to mock the government. He really didn't hold back, but that quickly backfired at him. I really can't believe they locked him up, they are subjecting him to mental torture and pushing him to resign. I don't like any of this, the Alliance needs Yang, they can't make an enemy out of him. What makes this all worse is that they're busy torturing Yang while Iserlhon is about to get donked. What they hell?!

Good episode.

This government running the Alliance has got to be one of the most incompetent I've seen in all of fiction. Holy hell how stupid could they be. Too concerned with pride, their own weakness, and how things look than actual results. Yang literally saved all their lives and stopped a coup but nooooooooo we gotta ask about those dumb satellites. I swear this inquiry must think those satellites are the only thing that kept Yang from taking control of the government or something and now they're scared of him. He's a national hero, a military genius and loved by everyone who actually knows him, the high brass of the Alliance are shaking in their boots over this made up scenario in their heads that now he's gonna assume control from them.

That whole inquiry is a joke, a complete waste of time. One of the men up there said something like they're not there to knock Yang down but to help him which is a load of bullshit. They're absolutely there to try and throw him in jail and cast a shadow on his stellar reputation. Its ridiculous, I got so mad during this episode. On top of everything now Reinhard operation of sending his own fortress right to Iserholn has begun and right as Yang is gone weeks away.

to be fair the Alliance didnt had better alternatives, they had an agreement with the Domain of Phezzan to hold the inquiry on Yang as bargain to get money from Phezzan an not go into bankrupcy, i dont think they had any intention to send Yang into jail, they need him an they are aware of it

I don't know about that. Yes, the higher ups of the Alliance know they need Yang, but they also know he isn't happy with their so-called democracy. I have had the feeling since last season that Trunhit is in a way threatened by Yang. He's young, he advanced quickly, and he has the support of the public AND his soldiers. They do need him, but they don't know how much and they're willing to force him into resignation.

oh they certainly fear him an envy him as well but they know they cant possibly touch Yang, hence why they kept the inquiry a secret am why Trunith asked his puppet to resign
Trunith clearly at this point desires more power than what a democracy can allow but he is in a position in which he cannot move to take power for himself, he is smarter than the lets others know an is mot likelly aware that the Empire is about to attack the Alliance in full force like they havent before

It was an ok episode. Typical "good guys" versus "bad guys" that LOGH has going, which makes me roll my eyes.

But it looks like starting on episode 9, things will get spicy, with whatever that thing was at the end in space.

This is one of my overall favorite parts: Yang sitting at the tribunal and rebuking their arguments.

Lol I was loving Yang's attitude during the inquiry, it was so funny each time he questioned what that guy was intending to say and turning his words against him.

It was interesting to see Yang frustrated, throwing his hat down. It's not a common sight we get to see. I also liked how Greenhill was threatening Bay for how they're treating Yang.

I just love seeing the moments shared between Julian and Yang. After Yang's two best friends died, Julian became one of the most significant people in his life.

Free-planet alliances never cease to amaze me. They’re having one of their best admirals under house arrest, and now they’re interrogating him like he's some sort of criminal. Yang, of course, won’t let them go so easily. When they start shouting, you know you've hit a nerve. They have never been in the front lines, as Jessica previously stated, therefore they have no idea what the soldiers go through or what influences their decisions in the heat of battle. Yang did a great job of putting those sensitive nobodies in their place.

They won’t even allow him to grab some food? That’s so disrespectful? This guy has done so much for them, and now they’re treating him like a criminal. I think that’s the first time we've seen Yang show any sign of
frustration.

The wrap as always looks insane.

Yang getting summoned and confined while the empire's plan is in motion, coincedence? Doubt it.
