What do people like about this anime?

I'm curious because I always see people praising this anime but when I watched it I did not enjoy it in the slightest. So I just want to respectfully ask what it is people enjoy about this anime because I'm clearly missing something.

The mc is very likable. His companions are too. It is fun watching him be overpowered while looking weak. The character design is great. It has nice seinen humor.

Its a super simple plot but it's a joy to watch, all the sharpeners are fun and diverse. I loved it! and I can't wait for the movie.

It has some pretty good world building, but the mc carries it imo

Characters are all really likeable and enjoyable. The world is interesting. It was one of the first shows that I know of that had a more politics and kingdom building aspect to it. Fun action and fantasy power levelling. A really interesting fantasy setting with unique creatures. And the general feel of it is quite relaxing and just pure entertainment.

The think i liked was the building of civilization aspect of the story. So i loved S1>S2>S2 p2
As this aspect is kinda lost in later seasons...

In the first season I loved it because it had a strong genuine, sensitive, simple, and nostalgic feeling vibe. After watching the second season though I have decided I hate it

I love this show because it’s so simple, fun, worldbuilding is good, characters are fun. It does not have a complex story, no complex characters, no crazy meaning behind what is portrayed. It’s just a really well crafted simple story.

Its an issekai but with plot.
Its got the usual issekai tropes in it but in a way thats not overpowering the story and makes it fun to watch. The characters are well designed and their development is awesome. They clearly outline the world and the rules of the world as well.

Honestly I get your point because I was not enjoying this show until about episode 6 or 7. After that I started to really like it. It got off to a pretty bad start IMO but it did an excellent job making up for it in the following episodes.

It has best Over powered characters like Might Guy, Chloe, Veld,, Yuuki, Rudra, Diablo, Testarosa, Carera, velzard Velgrynd, etc.
It has best world building
It has best skills and their uses
It has Rivalries
It has political drama, etc.
So Overall best it is best anime in the isekai genre

It is a "fun" anime with diverse characters and great action with a good world building.

But I can see why people wont like it. Its very shounen-ish, so people who don't like battle shonen would not like it.

Well things I like about Tensura:
* Character art. (Demon lord outfit for Mr Tempest is cool)
* Sound effects (use headphones) of season 2 & spell animations in all of the anime.
* Strategy meetings, war room meetings, discussions between world leaders and the dragging suspense before the Clayman war.
* Lot's of underhanded politics.
* Some nice battles.

Worldbuilding is one of the best you'll see.

Also, while MC is a rather bland, OP Mary Sue, he gets an actual, well deserved character development in 2nd season.

I don't see anything in this show, just another isekai. Don't mistake me for something like "I hate isekai", in fact I like isekai like Tate no yuusha, mondaiji tachi etc. But the slime series is just mid or boring to me. I don't get the whole hype people are making

The character does not get reincarnated as a handsome looking guy but a slime which is the lowest of the food chain. Works it's way up to come at the top without even realizing. Becomes the protector of monsters and builds a nation with them and most importantly, the character is humble because he knows that at the end of the day, he is just a slime.

I love kingdom-building shows! It did not heavily touch the subjects of politics but it is still a great kingdom-building shows.

I like watching these types of anime is because of how the mc incorporates modern practices in the Fantasy world.

I really want to watch WHOLE RIMURU TEMPEST adventures from season 3 onwards and beyond,,, i was so fascinated on how would seen in animation other reading it on LN/WN/MANGA. it would be so so so great to watch it ..... seriously ived read one particular comment says he dont get why massive people are attached to this anime/ i was reincarnated as a slime' ... maybe 3 people out of millions. cant see a real value of it. if you got a wide understanding and curiosity of what is into that anime.. then man you got a blank part of your humanity... try knowing what it really meant in the anime and why is rimuru tempest is the GOD OF ANIME

Mostly just because of the worldbuilding and the managing a nation aspects, everything else is completely generic. Also, some of the special effects on fights looks kinda cool, even though the fights themselves are kinda bad
