| So far its generic and low quality. I typically like shonen but this is mid at best. Demon slayer is on a whole different level and obviously cant be compared to something like this. |

| Never watch demon slsyer before but when you say "way better" i dont think so. The animation seems bad for 2022 anime. I might rate it 6-5 out of 10. |

| Has it gotten any better? I watched 2 eps and I'm struggling to find any enjoyment in it. Might leave it until it finishes to give it another try, see if ir improves. |

| don't sleep on this because of the animation and the meh start, it gets very good, with good character development, especially musashi, good team based combat system and great fights, it gets better and better with each arcs, so far it has a lot of potential to be a great battle shonen, i suggest to try the manga if you are interested, the art is great, definitely my favorite ongoing battle shounen atm along with world trigger. |
| The rating is pretty much fitting. This is the most cliche shounen out there. Almost everything is predictable. Don't even think of comparing it with KnY, KnY actualy has a good story that you get invested in and you get emotionally attached to the characters and their lives right from the first episode and this wasn't the case with Orient. I actually find Mushashi a lot annoying. It's still too early to judge Orient though, it does have room to get better, I mean it has just started, the 3rd main character was introduced in 4th episode. But if you judge like you would any other new anime, Orient is performing poorly. The animation is nothing exceptional, it's just normal, nothing bad, nothing good, just fine. The concept is good but still it feels too generic and the tropes are too cliche, we have the usual power of friendship trope, cliche dialogues, cliche MC, cliche female lead. The MC is the most cliche shounen MC. In the start it didn't offer much that would make someone come back, thus the high drop rates too. For an anime which is released in 2022, one would expect to see something new with eye-catching animation, Orient doesn't offer that. But still I want to keep watching it and see where it goes, I'm not the type of person who just drops an anime and judges it when it isn't even completed. I've rated this 6/10 for now and the score is bound to change in future. The latest episode, episode 5 was loads better than the previous ones, easily best one till now so I'm hoping this will get better. |
