But has this show even been confirmed for a second season yet? And if not, what are the chances that it will? I know not all shows get a season 2 confirmed right at the end but I really hope it doesn't end on a cliffhanger, since I actually enjoyed this show a lot! |
| Most likely there'll be a 2nd season when they placed "To Be Continued" and "NOT the end" at the end of a season's last episode. This usually means the cours were already planned regardless if the series has good sales or popular and is already being worked on. This also usually means the other works, Novel or Manga is fairly popular in Japan to get the greenlit for anime (single or multiple cours). ___ ___ ___ Most times a series being worked on only gets cancelled is when the production studio has issues (where animators are on leave, missing or on strike) as we've seem with some studios in the past happening when a decrease of quality starts to happen in series. But Sakugan's quality has been pretty good, only the Story/ Plot felt rushed. (most likely cause they tried to stuff the villains into the first season's last 3 episode as most of the episodes focused on adventure) |

| Well, they only covered like, the rearranged and actually expanded content of 2 books in total, which were just as fast paced, but I wouldn't go as far as to say rushed. With only 3 books released so far however, I kinda doubt we will be getting a second season too soon, unless they go for a movie. Considering the plot escalates quite a bit starting from "Ookami', that sure wouldn't be a bad idea. |
