| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- I wish they mostly just focused on Mafuyu's and Ue's side of the story like in this chapter. The other characters' stories are not that good. They just feel weak. I want to see Ue learning to be with someone with trauma. It does look like the story is trying to go in that direction, so I hope it does. Ue doesn't know how to react properly to Mafuyu, and makes some mistakes. In real life, ideally, we don't want that to happen. But, it will happen. So, it was nice the story showed it. |
| Agreed. I think the story is focusing on them already and that's great because Ue and Mafuyu relationship need to grow stronger and Ue needs to learn how to properly deal with Mafuyu and read him, and Mafuyu needs to open up a bit more to his boyfriend. I think that all the other stories helped to focus on these two, their interactions with other couples can give them the clues they need. |
| I think the whole point of the MIX chapters is to actually show how children of trauma, Shizu, Hiiragi and Mafuyu's different healing processes end up accidentally exacerbating each other's pains. Hiiragi is trying to make up for his inaction when everything happened with Yuki by uniting the childhood squad and letting Mafuyu listen to the song. Shizu is dealing with his own abandonment issues. All the other arcs are important to show how different healing processes work differently for different people. Ue just unfortunately got caught in the crossfire because he's so desperate to reach Mafuyu but Mafuyu, because of Hiiragi exacerbating his trauma, is currently in shutdown. THis chapter is so well written MY GOODNESS. IT's so painful but Kizu's storytelling is amazing. |
