According to the official website, Production I.G announced that they postponed the premiere of Higashi no Eden - Movie II: Paradise Lost until March, 2010. It was originally scheduled to be shown on January 9th, 2010.

Production I.G was first planning to produce two 60 minutes movies but the concept of the story expanded. As a result, the production was delayed.

Duration of the movies

Movie II: 90 min

Sucks? If anything I see this as good news. More time for a better story ftw.

This.
It would suck with plot holes. I'll rather wait for a great conclusive story.

Indeed, I'm glad to see that they even decided to delay the premiere to work on the concept (though they'll probably have to pay for it).

I don't care how long you postpone this movie, I just hope you make it in time to finally start production on 3rd GIG by the time 2011 comes around.

Considering that the anime had began as something very similar to the Jason Bourne series to end as something like Code Geass, I am not sure how these sequels will turn out to be like. Hopefully, the postponing will actually make the anime better than worse..

I don't mind the postponement as long as they fix what ever issues they have and come out with a good film. It's not too long to wait anyway.

A short two month expansion that results in 52 minutes more than they planned to animate?

Seems like a nice trade off to me; then again I havn't watched the series yet, I can't find a full season torrent and probabely going to end up waiting 'till I see it on Bakabt or thoranime
