There’s no way to know if it’s safe or not to talk to him, so she doesn’t try to risk it

Well that's rather depressing. Her dad is right in front of her and she wouldn't even exchange a single word to him

Would you do it if you were her?
It breaks her heart not being able to interact with him directly even though he’s right there, but she tries her best indirectly (like giving him the pudding). It’s quite bittersweet in my opinion

I can't process that mental trauma going inside the brain of miku cause I just can't imagine what she is being going through after seeing ep 4..

She's going through nothing. She just doesn't care. I didn't have a single clue that her father was dead but if you can freeze up in front of other ghosts like a moron can't you stop and smile at your father
By doing that wouldn't she be putting herself and whole family in danger, did you really not see the big fat ugly hideoes ghost lurking there with her father. If she had uttered anything, that creepy ghost would have noticed and something ominous could have occurred. Did you also not see she indirectly showing her gratitude to her deceased father by putting pudding beside his image!

I was really curious how the anime would pull this particular plotline given that...

Even though he doesn't appear in the following manga chapters anymore, it is not indicative of the anime since he has never appeared before this chapter and the anime added him in the earlier episodes (probably to have more impact for the big reveal). But I don't see any reason for the anime to include him in the plotline anymore.

If the father

Besides that, I don't think father-daughter relationship is rare in anime. (Oreimo, Papa no iu koto o kiki nasai, Hinamatsuri, Usagi Drop, and many more.)

Yup, she definitely doesn't care. Not a single thought spent on her father, which is why she gets a pudding cup he enjoyed while alive for a shrine made in his memory and nearly breaks down crying when he speaks to her. All of these actions clearly point to her not going through anything and not giving a shit about her dad, and not that she's... you know... trying not to give away that she sees her dead father in front of a terrifying horse spirit that's watching her the entire time. Couldn't be something obvious like that, so it's gotta be something completely disproven by everything shown in the scene.

The spirit you're talking about was shown in the recent episode. What about before that, in previous episodes ? Was the spirit still present ? Why does she react so much to other spirits but can't show a shred of happiness to see her dead father

Let's see. There're three scenes where her father is present. In the first two, he shows up after Miko has already left, and in the third scene, he's in the background while Miko and her brother are watching TV and their mother talks to them. Where was her chance to react when she had either already left the scene or didn't know he was there? The scene with the spirit is the first direct interaction we see with Miko and her father and she nearly breaks down crying and does show happiness toward her father by smiling at his shrine while giving him pudding that he enjoyed while he was alive.

Also, the reason she reacts as much as she does to other spirits is because she's afraid for her life as to what might happen if the spirits know that she sees them, which I thought was made pretty obvious from the outset and is another reason why she wouldn't want to react to her dead father in front of one of those spirits. You acting as though she doesn't care when there's context to why she doesn't react in the scenes where he's present is ridiculous and disingenuous.

Count the number of ghosts that Miko has seen in just her house, and then tell me if you think she's ever actually alone with her father.
If you reply back to me and I never respond, I lost interest and don't care. Sorry about that.

He's safe, but there is... that monster spirit next to him.
Who I believe is a sort of guardian since it protects him.

Surprisingly though... even now from the latest chapters, she still ignores him.

Although, for the first time fairly recently she's been put into question why he hasn't passed on to heaven.
But we still barelt know much about him.

I personally believe that she may have trauma amnesia which is why she's so oddly somewhat distant from him, even though she does care about him.
