Goodbye JGY. We finally heard him say his iconic line of killing his father, his wife, etc.

I liked the short recap of what has happened since the beginning and how the mysteries have been solved.

They are back at Lotus Pier and I am not ready for the next ep, which is the last ep too. *cry*

Also that commercial at the end! WWX saying "lan er-gege you actually really like me-" and LWJ cut him off with a drink and his ears turned red hehehe.

I love this series so much and I really don't want to see it end.

The Lan juniors with WN scene was soo cute, I can not get enough of them.

And LWJ always being there supporting and just simply being and believing in WWX is one of the best things in this life.

JC wanting to go to WWX after arriving to Lotus Pier but LWJ going to him first is just a masterpiece in of itself.

Still I do have to say that the first 10-15 minutes felt rushed, just like last episode. Maybe it is because I went in.... let's just say not in the right headspace, so when I rewatch I'll see and correct myself. But it did undermine a bit (it still hurt even knowing it was coming and all) LXC and JGY's goodbye scenes.

I love this story with all of my heart and I do understand that nothing can be absolutely perfect. So yeah, props to everyone involves in the production of this donghua it is an amazing work of art.

I really don't like all the changes, I really do not. Jin Guangyao was already a baddie even without making him responsible for the things he didn't do but OH WELL. The on screen adaptations will be always like this and jgy will always get blackwashed and wwx will always get whitewashed:') Fuck yeah censorship.

Lan Xichen: has one the worst days of his life, gets traumatised.....donghua...we will send him to JGY death party in the Lotus Pier! Like, common.

Now for the positive things...
I must say, that the action in the donghua is usually too much for me (I prefer the low fantasy realism novel mdzs has, the donghua has too much of the fantasy element) but watching this ep felt very excitig, I am pretty sure I forgot how to breathe in some moments.
JGY's voice actor did absolutely fantastic job.
Wangxian were extremely married.

Maybe I am too much of a novel purist but I hated this episode with all of my being. Literally all of JGY is destroyed by donghua team, worse than CQL ever did. I am fine with any changes in adaptations as long as they keep the characters true to themselves, this has been going downhill with MDZS donghua with every season. Season 3 is just horrid. I certainly won't be grading it a 10 when it finishes.

JGY deserved so much better than this shit.

Yeah, Chinese censorship guidelines strike again...
The pacing was again too fast. For the climax of the story it was kind of...mundane? It gave me a 'that's it?' feeling. It just happened. Very little impact.

If I look at this as like an adaptation - it's a pure joke. I mean - what the hell did I just watch? Whole plot flattened to unbeareable extend, many of smaller events skipped and these tooth-rotting forced WangXian scenes. Eh... It's watchable if I look at this without novel shadow yet still it's too shallow. (Jiang Cheng? Who on the Earth is Jiang Cheng???)

Only thing I hope for rn is that in final ep some more minor threads will be revealed, like whole core thing etc... If not, I'm changing my current 10/10 score (given only out of love for this universe)

Im confused when did Nie Mingjue get his head back. One moment his head was in Jing Guangyao's secret room, next moment his head is hidden away, and finally we see his head reattatched onto his body. How did his body get the head??

The final fight was not that well done. It looked pretty, like always, but it wasn't that clear. And, it ended too quick without stopping to show us the characters' emotional growth in the middle. So, the whole thing felt like a middle episode, and not a conclusion to something epic.

I like the revelation with Nie Huaisang. I already knew about it because of the drama, but it was still nice.

Because of all the unanswered questions, I was worried this episode was the end. Apparently, one more episode is left. I wish this episode ended with the end of the fight, and not the start of a conclusion. Getting two episodes of conclusion is weird. Two or more chapters of conclusion can work for novels, but in comics and animations, it feels a bit weird.

I feel lucky I read the novel a few times before or else this would be so confusing! The story got unreasonably tangled up and differ from the original timeline so much that kills the enjoyment.

And oh those precious sweet moment in the Wangxian relationship. They are gone as if they've never been there. RIP. Nobody is catching those chickens... :(

in ep 10, JGY states that the head has gone missing, so someone took it after he hid it during the 'big reveal' in his bronze mirror secret room. presumably the person who took it reattached it... and the body was left in the care of NHS according to episode 8, so......

I really enjoyed this episode. Sure it was different than the novel, but I always felt that the scene in the Temp dragged on in the book. Everyone talked so much in this scene, it was literally an infodump. The Donghua team cut it down to the most important parts and made it an exciting penultimate episode. I'm sure the last episode will give us a wonderful send-off for all of our characters.

I love love this episode! and I love the action scenes and that we didn't need to handle so much talking and boring exposition in Lotus Pier since they mostly show only the imported stuff.

I also like how they did Jiang Cheng and how he still care about his lost brother but can't go to him like in the last scene of the novel. it very Jiang Cheng.

the only part I can say I dislike is what Wei ying said about Nie Huaisang, cause even if Wei ying had proof for what he did I don't think he would have told on him despite everything. Wei ying would have kept his secretes since he knows how harsh it was on him and that he had his own reasons of doing things. I really wish they would make this part better like what Wei thought in the novel.
