I wonder if they're just gonna go with an original plotline or will they just follow the manga as best as possible despite the changes?

I learned about the manga through the anime and now I'm that I'm a bit more caught up, I'm not sure if this second season is going to be as good and it's a pity because the manga so far is amazing!

I don't think they will. The only reason there changes last season is because the anime went into production when there wasn't enough to adapt. Now that there are over 100 manga chapters they should be able to easily adapt it with some changes to account for last season.
Well, who knows with Cloverworks at this point.

Yeah I assumed that was the case for the changes. I actually just read the authors comment on the second season and apparently they're going to be following the manga plot anyway but with some differences so it follows the anime previous changes.

Hopefully it will still be good!

Let's hope Cloverworks don't fuck another sequel. They butchered Wonder Egg and the Promised Neverland. Also, i didn't like the changes they did with Shadows House. I felt like they lost the meaning of the show towards the last episodes.

CLOVERWORKS really harassing themselves. Their animation quality and everything is really great but well why Promised Neverland had to go with original ending? Why Horimiya not ended up with another season? And why original ending in Shadow house S1 ended up with another season? Oh wonder egg priority also ๐Ÿ˜”

I am glad we are getting S2 but I am also super worried. lol

For starters it seems they will add the very important and cool arc that got cut judging from the PV so that's a good direction at least. Then after that they can just follow the manga again.

Besides the fact that the manga is still on going and they ran out of material to adapt at the time, I think the reason why they made such changes it was because they probably weren't expecting to make a second season so they decided to tie the loose ends so it could end well I guess (or maybe thats not it at all and Im just sounding stupid now)

Now all we gotta do is hope for the best! The authors did say they were going to try accompany the manga plot despite the changes, maybe it won't end up too badly.

Hey some sequels take longer, there's still hope that a new season will be announced!! And I mean it's better if they take their time than to rush it right?

horimya heavily cut and speed through the manga. A reboot would be the only way to do another season unless they make it a series of flashbacks and adapt things they skipped entirely

It's normal to create expectations though no? And to wonder what's going to happen considering the studio that's adapating. But once again I thank you

I guess the horimiya anime really just existed to promote the manga.

its not normal and you know it. And considering its an isolated case thats more than enough to conclude that you are exaggerating things

Perhaps with Cloverworks and it's Promise to Neverland adaptation might be the first "failed" in lack of a better term but there are plenty of adaptations that end up being lackluster when taking an original approach at it. Not even including that, there are simply a lot of lackluster adaptations and naturally that makes people wonder how things are going to go.

I'm really not sure why you're so upset about this when it is indeed normal to have expectations about whether something or not something is going to be good

naturally SH anime is not lackluster adaption. So idk how you compared it to other lackluster animes. Like what im saying its different from TPN adaption, that is isolated case. Even the sequel not pan out better, you can just watch S1 because it has nice ending.

Im not upset but i dont like exaggerating things like this thread. You watched the trailer did you the my only gripe is robe sama but he appeared, so im optimistic to it. And your thread being anime original S2 route is not happening

So far there's 108 chapters (at least from the site I'm reading from) but the chapters aren't too long so I think you won't have a lot of difficulty reading through it. If you like your mystery and to learn even more in depth how the Shadows House is hella messed up then I believe you should give it a go! And I dont know if this is a good point or not but it's also a full colored manga :)

Perhaps I expressed myself badly I didn't mean to say Shadows House was a lackluster adaptation, I did enjoyed it a lot! And I have good hopes it's going to be nice!

And true you can just watch the first season of the Promised Neverland but what I was trying to say is that, if you get a good thing and you know a sequel is going to come, you're going to hope that the sequel lives up to it's first season.

There is no exagerating, it was just a simple question whether it was going to be original or whether it was going to follow the manga somehow and apparently it's both which is okay! If it's well done, naturally there will be nothing to complain about.
But like I mentioned before when you know that sometimes second seasons end up not being quite as good, it's normal to be cautious that was all. I'm really not trying to create a problem about something that does not exist.

I'm simply curious about what's going to happen, if it's going to be good and I wanted to see what other people thought as well, thats all :)

thats good that you understand some but anime original is not happening because of how the reason the S1 of SH anime came to be. Because author themselves change it to be more conclusive and not end the middle of the arc or rushed through it, which is good because the author cared for the anime. So when the sequel is announced they can integrate the missing plot point and one of them is the mystery robe person.

Yes it's for the best! And again since the chapters end up not being too long it hopefully won't be too much of a hassle for you to read :) and you can just skim through the repeated parts since a good part of the anime is faithful to the manga, it's just that one initial bit and the later episodes that it diverges
