 .[REMULUS] CITY CENTER: UNDERGROUND  An underground gathering place for Azazel. The area is equipped with hi-tech paraphernalia, submerged below the ground surface of city center. The streets are hectic with the crowded flow of Azazel children, its always busy and dimmed with the shade of the surface of upper layer city. The nuance is cold, smokes and industrial dirts are visible, as if the territory is not cleaned in a routine basis and abandoned. Natural looking walls are constructed with the most sophisticated smart materials, able to retain the pressure load from the soil hundreds of meters below the elevation zero. Any structures were designed to have kinetic mechanism and in such way to avoid any foundation patterns of the buildings above the ground surface. Kinetic energy can be easily produced and induced into the structures to deploy and retract as needed while maintaining the necessary structural capacity to withstand the loads, similar to the ancient origami-based architecture. INTERMISSION After a long walk with Judas in the sewage tunnel, through many secret paths and hidden intersections, the Bully Busters has finally arrived at a place where the light of sky does not penetrates in. The place is somewhat a bit dim and gloomy and filled with artificial lights and strange technologies that ensure the sustainability of the population of children to keep breathing and live. As they enter the area, they can see the places are crowded by children, who wears costumes that are somewhat... dirty. They seemed to be not treating themselves very well, they are thin, faces a little bit blackened by industrial ashes, and some has this...sorrow and sad look, a bit gloomy. But not all of them are that gloomy, some children are still playing, running here and there, along with the sound of machines and industrial smokes that keep beating, which can be heard in every corner of the area. This area has a ceiling that is so tall, that is because the area was built into the depth of underground, to seemingly almost limitless beneath the surface of Remulus. Constructions are everywhere, and still ongoing. Everything moves, everything is busy.. They would call them criminals, locking them up in the name of peace-keeping and justice. Cordelia knew better... it was more than that, the truth that brought her here to this twilight place. Finally noticing that the group had grown quite a bit Senha took a better glance at his surroundings, the girl named Setsu seemed to be the carefree or relaxed type with her casual demeanor and clothing meanwhile Cordelia appeared to be soothing and more on the intellectual side, the book she held of course helped to cement that perception Senha had of her. How many people would be involved in this rescue mission he wondered while still staring at the two newcomers, anyways as to not appear rude with all his staring Senha walked up next to Judas, "A few things happened over at the tournament and now we'll be in your care. What were the numbers for? Was there another objective behind this breaking and escaping operation? Judas began to explain that there were more details about the mission... but time will not permit a chance for explanations, especially since something horrific could be happening to the prisoners. Cordelia clenched her fists slightly. To what extent would they reach their goals? How many lines would they cross? These questions won't be answered right now. Not until they meet a man, named Enzo. The second time she's heard that name. Are they the leader? Another question needing answers. A sigh softly escaped Cordelia's lips. At least, this one can be answered soon. Arriving at Enzo's Laboratory... Prized paperwork, illegal technology, and stolen information. They all came within Cordelia's sight as the group entered the laboratory. Cordelia spied some scientists milling about, then saw 'Enzo'. He... was different than she expected. Then again, it wasn't everyday you'd see a short, white-haired kid working with large, centuries-old technology. "Judas!" A panicked voice. Seems like the situation was worse than expected. The white-haired scientist kept explaining to the group, "The portal to earth has been opened suddenly couple of minutes ago." Wait, what? "Someone from the earth must have activated it again." What fool would want to communicate to those living on Remulus? Many centuries have past since 'that' happened. "I want you to bring some people to visit Earth, and request some help from the population there to aid us in the rescue mission." It turns out that they didn't have enough people. Cordelia knew that the mission was larger than what was said... but enlisting the help of creatures that were considered failures is something else. Cordelia eyed Judas, wondering what he'd say. In reality, time is precious, and this could jeopardise a lot of things. A moment of silence... until, "Enzo... alright! I understand. I will go with them to Earth, and request for help." Speechless, Cordelia blinked in disbelief. It wasn't until Judas was at the portal, that what he said had sunk in. She couldn't say anything about it, she wasn't the leader of the mission, nor was it her business to know what they have planned. But it left a bad taste in her mouth. At the same time... Earth. Her curiousity could not help but peek. With the reason of watching over these people, Cordelia also silently stepped towards the portal. With more hands, they will finish helping the beings of Earth. Cordelia only hoped they won't be too late for the imprisoned Azazels. |
