| According to the official website, Studio Ghibli's new short anime movie "Chu-zumo" will be shown at Ghibli Museum from January 3rd to February 28th, 2010. The movie is based on a Japanese folk tale "Nezumi no Sumo (Sumo of Mice)". Duration: 13 min Staff Plan & Scenario: Miyazaki Hayao Director: Yamashita Akihiko (the character designer of "Zegapain", "Giant Robo") Synopsis: Once upon a time, there lived an old man and his wife in a mountain. One night, he found a bunch of mice heading to somewhere. He followed them and saw the mice playing Sumo. This particular story is well known, and there's also references to it in other japanese stories. I think there was one in some Akutagawa's novel, when a person sees a dream about mice doing sumo. Or maybe it wasn't Akutagawa, but some other writer... |

| I've been to the ghibli museum, it's totally different, the animation display was amazing o_O they have there own mini cinema that they show the short anime's on, and the funny thing is, your ticket to the museum is a actual film cel strip of their latest movie and if you want to see this short animation, they have to stamp your ticket like old style cinema offices xD fantastic stuff ! (not to mention the museum is totally out in the middle of nowhere ! haha ! fun stuff :) |
