I heard this was horrible is it really? I want to watch it but due to the negative feedback I’m scared. is it ok if you haven’t read the manga or light novel (I forgot what it was.) is it at least a 5 out of 10 or is it lower?

Wasn’t that bad the manga goes downhill after season 1 so they just wanted to wrap it up. Some of the new characters were written quite badly but overall it was decent wrap up to the story 6/10

Season 1 was so good on so many levels but season 2 was such a disappointment. I had only read about 2/3 of the manga by the time that s2 was airing but I could tell that there was a drop in quality storytelling wise.
It just felt rushed which is such a shame. I for one, totally would have been up for seeing an alternative ending, but this was just poorly executed.
- The pacing was all over the place.
- The stakes seemed really low.
- Arguably one of the beloved arcs was cut out (The Goldy Pond arc was so important to Emma’s character, not to mention that loads of fan favourite characters were introduced)
- The ending was so confusing, especially if you weren't a manga reader
- The animation was good tho

I think I'll have to give it another watch (now that I've actually finished the whole manga) so that I can decide on a proper rating because I was so frustrated when I first finished it (but atm i’d give it around 5/10 - and that's being generous)

As someone who hasn’t read the manga, I felt like it was not bad until the last 3 episodes. They rushed and threw away the story and I also hate that there won’t be anymore seasons. Not to mention they didn’t follow the manga completely and therefore it’s not as good. I think it’s worth the watch just to finish the story but it’s not great. Not terrible either

The promised neverland season 2 was trash honestly but I guess if I didn’t read the manga then I would probably I guess like it then it would be like a 4/10. But like Come on they have to remake the season 2 and follow the manga… If you haven’t read the manga of the promised neverland instead of watching season 2. Read volume 5 and up!

One of the most horrible endings. It's confusing as hell and footer anime viewers, it's even more. Season 1 have hopes for a beautiful show but Season 2 just put all those hopes in the drain.

It is a literal powerpoint presentation. Even if you havent read the manga, you wont be able to make sense of it. I suggest reading the manga from chapter 38 instead (thats where season 2 picks off). The whole series was butchered and more than 140 manga chapters were compiled into one 11 episode season. It deserves the hate it gets as the anime had so much potential and would have done wonders, but instead it pulled off the classic tokyo ghoul.

Ok lmao don’t worry I won’t spoil it for you. Basically Tokyo ghoul did the same thing as the promised neverland. It completely ignored the manga and went anime original, to the point where it adapted 2 volumes of the manga per episode. It was a literal shitshow lmao. So whenever an anime goes anime original and it doesn’t turn out well, we refer to it as being another “Tokyo ghoul” lol. If you plan to get into Tokyo ghoul, I suggest reading the manga. The manga is fabulous and it is really well written and illustrated. The drawings are really detailed and the story is really deep and tragic. The manga really grasps your emotions, something the anime fails to do lmao. Don’t even bother with the Tokyo ghoul anime you will end up confused and disappointed.

First problem is that the show has a different goal from the first season, that was off putting for many people who just wanted the same escape story again. Second, it felt like they wanted to finish the story, but they didn't want to give the story the time it needed to breath. They crammed what would be at least 2 more seasons into a single season. Instead of finishing the story, they resort to cramming an entire seasons worth of content into a two minute long montage of what they should have actually animated. It felt like they made the season just to say they finished the show, and not to make a quality product.

The first few episodes are sort of entertaining I guess.As an anime watcher,I didn't find much wrong with the beginning of s2.It was the ending that pissed me off.A very fast paced setup and plan ,that succeeds without much conflict too.Then ,they proceed to show a slideshow of much more interesting events that occur later,some including a peace treaty ,a dragon etc and they cut to happily ever after.

Bruh, don’t let your first experience of the next story arcs be from s2, just read the manga, this is one of the worst adaptations I have ever seen. I myself have finished the manga before this and decided to try this season to form my own opinion of it myself and my god, they ruined it. It’s rushed beyond belief, and they just skip and change so much crap, that moments that were suppose to be impactful are NOT in s2. S2 is a 1/10, while the manga as a whole is a 10/10 for me and one of my absolute fav series, so please, just read the manga first then go back to here if you wanna see a trainwreck.

Watch it. I recommend. I am anime only. Go with low expectations. It is not good as S1 but it is still better than most of the average anime. I gave it 7/10. It is still entertaining.

They decided to cram the rest of the story in 11 episodes! They couldn’t even make it 12 episodes and one was a recap! They had a slideshow at the end to finish the last chunk. U can tell it was not thought out either as it had bad logic/mcguffins and a date error.

A 2 out of 10 for me, because how much they messed up so bad that I couldn’t imagine how. I tried to enjoy this show many times despite its problems from different methods, but adly, it dropped the bar even lower than what I could imagine. Some people may like it, but that’s only the case if you don’t pay much attention to the sotryline.
