| I have watched a lot of garbage 80s/90s OVAs/movies in my time and this is far from the worst. This one actually has a plot, with characters, the characters have motivation for what they are doing, and they have a reason to be doing it. Sure an AIDs vaccine isn't the most compelling McGuffin out there but it is something. I know some call this boring because it doesn't have much action and the action isn't very good, but action for the sake of action is how you end up with extreme garbage like Birth. Also it really cant be stressed enough that I actually understand what is happening in this OVA which is a massive step up over like half of the garbage OVAs schlock out there. I know this is a lot a to type for a not very good OVA, and from the sound of it you would think I love it or something, but no this OVA is not good, its a 4/10 in my book but like I said it is still a lot better than a lot of shit I have seen. |
