Some of you guy's say it's netflix, some say its jc staff, and there's the producer who asked for an animation that doesn't move at all like a manga, and the director who accepted it and then the mangaka... who created a great manga but, he's getting blamed for some reason which i think is dumb

The one to blame would be those anime watchers who can’t appreciate something different. The show is good, really.

Man, they made something different that nobody want and they use it on a great manga how are we going to appreciate it???

Edit:
Oh and btw the show is good because of the comedy that came from the manga

It doesn't suffer as much from relative lack of animation as I thought it would. I don't fully buy that it was intentional to do it this way though. Have a sense there must have been some issues (maybe Covid-related) in production that would have caused delays and pressure from above (Netflix) likely led to them adapting it in this way.

So if there's someone to blame it's Netflix who more or less had the final say.

Maybe netflix? It's certainly not the mangaka's fault because the comedy was the strongest part of the story.

Damn netflix, they think making anime is like their original works where they put no effort into well some of them are good but most of them are pathetic attempts for making easy money out of a poor writer's work.I wish they would just get the hell out of here and stop making animes.

I really loved this anime actually. I find it a bit hard to understand most people's criticism of it and I feel confident in saying myself and others find it was actually good.

Well, you could say that its netflix fault because they promote it as an "anime or animation" rather than a motion manga, which should have been.

Well the longer you watch the anime the more you get used to the animation style. But yeah I think they should have stuck to the normal style of animation rather than doing it in a power point presentation style of anime.

Ppl getting mad about animation. Tbh it was funny in its own way. Reminds me of hanako-kun which hadn't much movement in it although a lot more than this one. But I think ppl shouldn't make a big problem out of it. It can't be undone anyways.

You’re to blame. If you don’t like it then you don’t have to watch it. It’s not supposed to be a proper anime. It’s an animated comic. The jokes wouldn’t work if it wasn’t for how it was animated. It was a stylistic choice and it worked great. If that’s not your thing then don’t watch it but don’t blame someone else for something that you don’t like.

Correct me If I am wrong but I heard some people said that the mangaka is the one who ask for motion or moving comic of animation and not a normal animation.I still enjoyed it though since they still managed to deliver the comedy.

"It’s not supposed to be a proper anime." Dude the manga is great it's not supposed to have a proper anime, its supposed to have a great one, and if their going to make a moving comic, we should be seeing a lot of movements not seeing a girl floats on the ground (im referring to episode 1 when miku was fallin- i mean floating on the ground when tatsu was taking a picture of the food). We(manga readers) were actually excited when the trailer comes out, and i decided to stop reading the manga and watch the anime until the end cause i prefer hearing and moving things.

Guys it's a good show, the decision with how it was adapted was probably a combination of the Netflix's decision on the budget and JC Staff's directing.

I think its NETFLIX's fault. This is not the first time they botch an Anime using their platform. (For Example: Dragons Dogma)

Personally I was looking forward to this series cause I really liked the topic and I guessed it’ll be funny. I dropped it simply because I could not laugh on it BUT I keep refraining myself to declare this or that is bad. I don’t consider any anime bad! As far as I‘ve read the comments above my concept seemed to be proved: every anime has its audience! I became a fan of the art of anime due the variety you can find in it! It’s really amazing how wide its spectrum is - as far as I see it’s easy: if something is not for your mood, taste or liking simply drop it and move on to another one because you will surely find a masterpiece - even if others rate it poorly ^^ I hope I could express my thoughts well and at least for some of you it make sense! ;) PEACE

The 'Fans' fault for not getting over the fact it's a diffrent style.

It's a good show and the animation does a good job, yea it's diffrent but it's better then berserk 2016 and ex arm's quality.

Fault,... ?
It's not a question of fault,.. it's just viewers who can't deal with a style choice out of their comfort zone.
I saw an "animated comic" that was highly enjoyable, with it's strength coming from excellent comedy writing, without exaggerated flashy animation to distract from it.
If it had been highly animated from the beginning but started lacking in animation later on, I'd think something was wrong (* cough: Promised Neverland) but this series made clear what it was right off the bat.
May not be to everybody's liking, but there isn't anything wrong with it as it is.

Who base the enjoying of an anime on a single aspect like the animation is a poaretto.
This had a initial contents with great potential and they wanted to try something different.
For me 8/10

I didn't mind it at all and it fits just fine. Its not like this is a high action show with tons of moves that need particle effects and such. It also help the art is still good.
