Tanjirou got dressmaking skills.

There was a part when Chiyuki's dad called her untalented right? In the beginning when he found out Ikuto was still in high school. Best dad evaaaaaaa

It feels really really rushed and shounen-y, as others said in this thread.

It's actually still quite fun but I'm unsure if I am to continue.

I'm glad Ikuto is the actual protagonist. He's a way better character than Chiyuki. This episode handled most of the gripes I had with the last episode well. It was very realistic and also showed the harsh side of fashion industry. I'm interested to see how Ikuto will grow. my rating of this show would've risen into 7 if it wasn't for that stupid fanservice. I hope there won't be too much of it.

If with the unnecessary fanservice you mean the scene in which chiyuki shows the skin, then I think that you are giving a greater importance to what it really was and you don't know how to differentiate the idea that they want to show.
I saw it more in the educational sense of what a model's profession is, not in the sense of showing the skin why to want to give fanservice.
In addition, the plot itself is taken seriously and shows us how the profession is, how the interior of these events is and the characters take their roles seriously, they are professional, responsible and respectful.
If it bothers you that it shows the skin, look at the children's anime there you will not have a problem, this is not for you it seems.

Edit: I was curious what tastes you have, I saw the 9 note that you put to Akame ga kill and Fairy Tail (I didn't want to investigate more) and then I see your complaint with Waratte's Runway and I can't help feeling confused xD

it's pretty bad how one of the dressmakers passed out from fatigue like in the dressing room of a fashion shows, and she has like bloody nose when she passed out. You can see her from the episode that the bags under her eyes are like black.

Chiyuki and Tsumura are on their way towards fashionhood, but the journey, far from starting, has hit rock-bottom. But it's clear that to go far, they'd have to push through the crowd to meet and break expectations.

For Tsumura, he has endured this journey with his dream without experience, and no matter the cost, he's ready to go big.

But the replacement turned out to be Chiyuki, the biggest disaster of a show, and with crucial moments, nothing is left to waste, and with the fanservice moment done right as models always go nude to fit as many clothing as possible, that's the professional life as a model. At worse, Tsumura takes charge, just as is with the first try.

Demon Slayers' VA of Tanjirou voicing as Tsumura is as fantastic as I'd thought, the same feelings of exaggeration done right, no wonder that voice felt so familiar.

Adaptation is just a fair shot, nothing that resembles the same feel of the manga, just toned down a lot to build emotions at the most tamest of levels. And the pacing is super quick at 6 chapters, that's just insane, showing how much Ezo'la's head director still has much inexperience in directing shows.

If there's any justification to keep watching this, please slow down the pacing!

Decent episode overall. A bit more chaotic than the first one but I should have expected it considering how fashion industry tends to be.

P.S.: So Ikuto didn't get any money for the clothes he made despite them appearing in a magazine?

I don't like Chiyuki. She has an unpleasant personality... hopefully she will grow as she gets more opportunities to become a supermodel.

Why he must be so beta? That independent designer is ten times more manlier than him while wearing women's dress. I hope his testosterone levels will raise. The girl is kinda harsh and wagamama, but at least she is feminine as fuck.
As an disgusting thing deemed by moderation team, I am now purged from this place.

Jesus, basically everyone is an asshole wtf, but that designer guy is the worst. Blames his own problems and fuckups on other people. Don't be an asshole and don't overwork your staff, that will probably solve most of his problems

As a big sister having a younger bro aspiring to be a fashion designer, this rings close to what i have experience so far helping out with my brother in his career. This ep really portrays that harsh reality in this business. Its fristrating to see but sometimes it made me feel relieved

The adaption is really going fast. But, its a bit censored. Ikuto acted like Profesor Oak: Are you a boy or a girl? In my opinion, the fight of Ikuto with Yanagida was more dramatic in the manga. But talking about the manga, I enjoy it..

As a non-manga reader, I can feel this. The pacing is all over the place.

This is boring, and stressful to watch.

I don't understand why this is shounen. Why would a guy want to watch this?

It was tough getting there, but Ikuto is presumably a part of a fashion design studio now.

This industry is brutal! Everyone takes their work so seriously. Looks like Ikuto is about to face a huge challenge as well.

Great episode again.

Hm. Interesting. I've never been backstage at Fashion Week, so idk about models wearing nude, but when I shoot for bridal wear, they typically have at least 1 changing/powder room orrrrr if the location is outside, there's a changing teepee that we use. Women only, ofc. And we'll wear nude bras and underwear; we don't wear nude.

I wouldn't doubt that Fashion Week models possibly wearing nude, but I'd imagine realistically for them to have sticky nipple covers at least ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ who knows?

Ikuto handled the first meeting with a professional designer pretty well, if it was me I would have immediately closed the door and left after seeing a half naked man wearing a few pieces of fabric with a some bodies on the floor asking me to come in....

Lot of intense emotions, feels a bit too much but oh well it's anime after all

This show is interesting. They really fight hard. Seems Ikuto fall to Chiyuki that's why I feel he change from happy to make clothes now want to be pro designer. Well all good untill now.

I don't know if I should shipp Ikuto and Chiyuki... Contrary to common sense, Ikuto is a boy interested on fashion that isn't gay and he and Chiyuki already shared moments of shyness (when they were too close and fighting at school). Besides, both have affection for each other, but I have hte feeling is only a friend affection.

Let's see what wait us.
